This Was the Right Choice
I don't know why this has such a low rating. I have found it to be everything that I needed. I LOVE that the phone case fits directly in the cage, and locks in. The additional grip I didn't use at first, but now is never off my phone unless it's in the cage. Yay! it came with a variable ND filter! PLEASE consider including the circular polarizer- it should have been part of the deal. Another thing I added- a neck strap. I added it to the cage by using black hair ties, as the clips would not fit the openings. Hair ties are girl's duck tape... But it works, and actually provides a little stretch. With the neck strap and the two grips, I have 3 points of contact for stabilization and don't need a gimbal most of the time. I have a quick release on the cage for a tripod when needed. A note about the magnetic filters: keep them in the case until you need them, and don't carry the phone with the filter attached. It can fall off with carrying. It's magnetic, and I love it. But it did dislodge and I won't make the same mistake again. Build quality is solid, and it's a little heavy... but that is why I have the grip on most of the time. If I'm out and don't have the cage, I've got the grip (which is grippy), and I always carry the filter. On the iPhone 16 pro, I can hold the grip and push the camera button. Always ready. As an aside, I use the cage and neck strap when I'm working, and using the phone for 3d imaging with my Matterport camera. No drops. Consider adding a neck strap and a circular polarizer. Absolutely no buyer's remorse.

Really well thought out and executed product of iPhoneography
This a a really well thought out iPhone 16 Pro video kit. I've been experimenting with several other brands to find the right fit; and this one just feels so intuitive. Being able to keep a camera case on the iPhone AND place it into the cage when you want to use the cage -- brilliant not having to snap the cover on and off to use the cage. Being able to place a filter mount over the native three cameras so you can attach the INCLUDED variable ND filter which covers most of the spectrum of stops of light you'd want to filter, rather than having to buy either multiple non-variable filters or two variable filters -- one for up to 5 stops and another for uptown 9 stops -- also brilliant. One competitor makes you screw filters into one or another camera mount limiting your ability to "ship on the fly" between iPhone cameras. This system lets you put a filter over the entire iPhone 16 Pro camera housing so you can filter all of the native cameras without restriction. The cage itself is so well conceived. Easily detachable handles, to move to different locations on the cage to get horizontal, vertical, and top held images and video is another great feature. They also rotate. The Bluetooth shutter button is fantastic -- although it appears that when the battery dies, you have to remove it and unscrew four micro screws to replace it. Would have been nice to have a recharge option there. Has three cold shoe places to attach accessories. The whole kit seems so much better thought out than its competitors (whom I guess I cannot mention). On top of this, you can separately order a threaded 17mm lens plate to attach to the camera holder and then use lenses you already have from other manufacturers (except that I found one manufacturer's lenses I have do not screw in entirely as if they didn't want you to be able to use them with anything but their own set up). And I love the little "holder' that clips on to the camera holder when not being used in the cage, so you have a bit better grip for day to day shots. Overall a really well thought out product which has risen to first place in my search for the video camera cage product that offers versatility, ease of use, compatibility with other products (lenses), and overall value for the cost. Good job SmallRig. I've got a lot for you their products because they understand their market and what people want!

Amazing value, design and functionality!
This thing is so much better than I expected and was shocked at the quality for the price. Took it to Tahiti shot for 13 days without a hitch. A few little design tweaks would help to attach additional objects like external hard drives etc, but overall it's awesome.

Expensive and questionable changes made from my friend's iphone 15 Pro max cage
Pretty color. Not a huge fan of how you put the phone in this thing. Saw my friend's and you slid the phone in from the top, now you put it in on an angle and the thing holding it together is the right side lip, and a tiny retention tab near the bottom left, when you're looking at the face of the screen. There's no glass or plastic on the back of the phone so it leaves that exposed to getting scratched and marred. This one does come with a TPU full back shell, fits nicely, but has a gross texture for me personally. It's supposed to be leather-like, but feels more like old people flesh. I do like that you can remove the branding on this phone if you want, by removing the hotshoe piece on the top right of the device.I've never owned a smallrig case, my friend LOVES his and has bought one for the past 2 or 3 generations of iPhones, so I had to one up him and get a special edition one. Must say, LOVE THE TWO TONE fading nature of this case. VERY SHARP, subtle and classy. Even the accessories, which do help justify the price, that's for sure. Since in reality you're getting 2 cases/cages, premium grips, ND lens, and various mounting plates, meaning the color scheme is maybe a 5-10 USD premium, if that.I do like that you can attach the world to your iPhone for a crazy looking frankenstein's monster of a camera system. LOL... Just wished the grips were more intuitive to use.

Great for everyone
Used this kit on my vacation. (iPhone 16pro)It makes filming smooth shots very much easier. It’s easier to work with than gimbal. The quick release handles are super steady and yet easy to move for a different shot. The ND filter works really well in super bright situations. How ever at max settings you get a blue tint.I would recommend this to anyone, whether if you are completely new to film making or an experienced videographer.
