So far, I love this tablet, and I have to say that it’s pretty great for the price! I’ve been using it for the past couple weeks and noticed right away that the detachable handle is very handy to have. Since I use this tablet for my job, I have to pick it up and move it around everywhere, so the handle is a plus! Its build is geared towards pretty rugged professions (farmers, cleaners, construction, etc), and meets military standards, so I knew it would be sturdy enough for my purposes. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this tablet so far! It gets the job done, runs smoothly and I haven’t had issues with audio or video yet, and that’s a huge plus, since a laptop, phone, etc can run perfectly, but still have awful audio, so that was also a big factor for me!

This is a very good tablet. I am actually surprised at how good it is for the low price. The drawbacks are it only has average screen brightness for outdoor use...450 nits which isn't very visible outside... But there are very few tablets that have higher nits. Only one or two iPads. Probably need a non-glare screen protector to maximize visibility outside. The iPad with 1000 nits brightness is $ 1200..... So this is almost $1,000 less. Performance is snappy and perfectly suitable for browsing the web watching videos etc. I've used it for listening to music with my Sony Bluetooth headphones and it sounds great. It's heavy. It's really heavy. Whether or not that corresponds to durability I can't say. But it is a strong build. Have not tested waterproofness but you're supposed to be able to use it underwater it even has a function setting for that. Based on the orientation of the startup screen and some native functions the power and volume buttons are in the wrong place they're on the bottom when you're holding it upright in your hand. This is a glaring mistake. Once you get off of those screens you can turn it however you want to turn it and then they would be on top or the side. The screen resolution is only about 360 PPI which is good... It's not up to par with 400 PPI units or phones. It's good enough for the price it's sharp and clear. I would actually like to give it about 4.5 but since I can't give it a parcel rating I'm going to give it five mainly skewed by the low price, functionality. The last non-brand tablet I had was when tablets first came out and it was horrible..... This is a great usable snappy high performing tablet for the $

This tablet is trash. After about two months of use it does random touch screen inputs causing all sorts of things to happen with the apps. Besides that, the UI sucks and is a very bare-bones experience. Buy something else.

I just received it yesterday (in Jamaica) and spent several hours to get used to it, still exploring. So far, very happy with it. I checked mobile internet (4G) very fast. It look and feel very durable, will further examine and possibly revert. Overall is very fast and very responsive. Its a bit heavy, due to the ruggedness of course, but with a very good folding kickstand I bought is very much ok (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096WBPCC1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1). After all I am not moving around with a tablet in hand. The phone is working perfectly, both cameras very crisp. face recognition not so consistent, I would prefer a fingerprint scanner. I am happy with this tablet so far. Will check battery life and revert. REM: I have checked the battery life on watching video (YouTube) and I think that the 30 hours is very optimistic. I figure around 15-16 hours is closer to reality.

This tablet is well protected with rubber. I think it can survive hard falls. Also it is waterproof which is perfect given the case that i plan to use it on my boat.

Sehr lange Akkulaufzeit, und Lautstärke der Lautsprecher auch sehr gut. Glücklicherweise passt meine Schutzhülle (die eigentlich für das Gigaset QV 1030 gekauft wurde vor ein paar Jahren) perfekt. Habe auch noch eine 128 GB MicroSD Karte von Sandisk eingebaut. Bißchen schade finde ich es, daß da keine Schutzfolie auf dem Tablet war, sondern nur diese graue Folie die man einmal abzieht. Aber ich schätze mal, so eine ist heutzutage nicht mehr nötig. Das Gewicht des R5 hab ich mir schlimmer vorgestellt, 1 Kg gehen noch. Bin auch froh, daß das Tablet keine so hohe Auflösung hat, denn dies kostet immer viel zu viel Akkuleistung und man sieht eh keinen großen Unterschied. HD Auflösung von 1280x800 wie hier (sogar etwas mehr als der Standard 1280x720 definiert) reicht vollkommen aus. Den Ladestrom von 10 Watt bei 5 Volt finde ich auch gut, denn dadurch wird der Akku nicht gebraten und geht vorzeitig kaputt. Der Preis von 229€ kam mir auch sehr gelegen.

Il rugged tablet HOTWAV R5 da 10,1 pollici è un dispositivo che si presenta come un compagno ideale per coloro che lavorano in ambienti estremi e necessitano di uno strumento resistente e affidabile. Tuttavia, non tutto è perfetto e ci sono alcune cose da tenere in considerazione. In primo luogo, il peso del tablet è notevole e, sebbene ciò ne aumenti la resistenza e la solidità, può risultare fastidioso tenere il dispositivo in mano per un lungo periodo di tempo. Ciò potrebbe essere un problema per chi deve lavorare con il tablet per ore, poiché potrebbe causare stanchezza e disagio. Il processore octa-core MT6762 consente una buona velocità di navigazione e la riproduzione di contenuti multimediali, ma non è il più reattivo sotto forte stress. Tuttavia, per un utilizzo generale, il tablet offre prestazioni abbastanza fluide. Per quanto riguarda la parte connessione, il tablet offre la connettività 4G Dual SIM, Wi-Fi e Bluetooth, ma non dispone di NFC. In generale, i rugged tablet HOTWAV R5 sono adatti per una varietà di ambienti esterni grazie alla loro resistenza all'acqua, alla polvere e alle cadute. Muy resistente la tablet. solo el micrófono integrado no jala bien pero con unos audifonos bluetooth todo esta bien

Ho acquistato principalmente questo dispositivo in quanto mi serviva qualcosa in ambienti "ostili" quando sono a lavoro per cui l'acqua , la polvere e gli urti sono all'ordine del giorno e non voglio mettere in pericolo i miei dispositivi elettronici. Partendo da un fattore estetico, mi piace veramente tanto, ha la possibilità di mettere una cinghia con la quale poter agevolmente tenerlo in mano, anche perchè pesa abbastanza, in modo da non gravare sulla fatica. La struttura è realizzata benissimo contro gli urti che, sinora, ne ha presi un bel po' senza danneggiarsi (chiaramente senza cose estreme), e anche sotto la pioggia ho provato ad usarlo, nessun problema. Le prestazioni sono buone, non bisogna aspettarsi una super fotocamera o ultra fluido, dopotutto 4 giga di ram non sono tantissimi, ma si riesce a fare tutto ciò che di medio si può fare, facilitati dal grande e buono schermo che ha ottimi angoli di visuale. Inoltre da evidenziare la batteria che dura veramente tanto, con un uso medio è durata quasi una settimana! Ci sta inoltre una sorta di "tool" interno , tipo una cassetta degli attrezzi, che è comodo utilizzare (come la livella, il misuratore di decibel e cosi via), anche l'audio, nonostante sia totalmente impermeabile, non è male, si riescono a fare comodamente call di lavoro e si sente bene. Infine funziona bene anche la gestione della doppia sim, cosa che mi premeva in particolar modo, potendo escludere, all'occorrenza, quella lavorativa. L'ultimo sistema Android inoltre è la ciliegina sulla torta che mi ha fatto propendere all'acquisto che, sinora , ha dato buone soddisfazioni.
