I have a toaster which occasionally trips my breaker. Will this respond quick enough to see amps drawn to determine if toaster problem?

Can it read start up watts? Up to 2000 W? Does it save the value?

It does measure and track min and max wattage, but I'm not sure if it would read or track surge watts (as they are usually a fraction of a second) Product description says the range is 0-3680W (30 amps at 120v), but after running my desktop computer (less than 700w) for a few minutes, it started to give off a burnt electronics odor.

Can I use to accurately measure inrush current? Does it register and save such brief spikes in current?

What values do I put in the “00.00” cost/kWh. I live in New York City. I am unsure what numbers go on the left side from the “.” & on the right side?

You should check your electric bill to determine the cost of KWH in NY City. Whatever that cost is, this is what you will enter. If you unsure, contact your electric utility provider and ask them, as sometimes there are multiple billing plans that may exist within the same provider and depending on your location. As a rough approximation, you can also check your last bill and simply divide the total amount you paid by the total of KWH you consumed. This may not yield the exact cost of KWH as per your utility billing plan, but should be good enough an approximation to allow you to estimate costs with the Watt meter. As to what you should enter in the meter itself, let's say your local cost is roughly $0.14/KWH, so you would enter "00.14" in the Watt meter.
