If your a playtherapist, this book will provide a clear understanding about interoception. It will provide a avenue that can be helpful in teaching children how to have self introspection.

Review from an OT
Excellent for both parents and clinicians! Does a great job of understanding why some difficulties with sensory processing has such functional implications on all areas of children’s daily lives

Self-published book reads more like a blog
Interoception is such an important topic, and there is so little information out there, that I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately, though this author may be an excellent OT, she is not a writer. She would have benefitted greatly from working with a professional writer and editor in the creation of this book. It is extremely disorganized and contains various bits of information about sensory processing and trauma, but little about interoception specifically. This is a shame. Therapists, teachers, individuals with interoception challenges and their family members could all benefit from a really well-written, thorough, organized discussion of this critical information. "Interoception: The Eighth Sensory System," by Kelly Mahler, contains much better information than this book; unfortunately it is now out of print.

Good sometimes
Interesting book as introduction to interception. I loved the science aspects up front and felt there was more to explore, but the book focuses a lot on child rearing. Writing style was a bit simplistic and some typos.
