Pros: I'm very impressed with the quality. They are light weight construction and yet are solid as rocks. The difference between each weight level can be felt. I feel my grip becoming stronger than before. These are a bargain buy. What to know: The texture on the handles provides great grip but can dig into softer hands. It comes with sleeves to put on them, but I just use workout gloves. Sleeves add bulk to them.

Let's be honest, these could be better. The grips are round, the resistance is a spring curve... But for the price? Look, if you're not ready to jump to top of the line models for $50 apiece, these may not be great, but they're great for you! I'm trying to rebuild strength after years off and a bad accident, and I was tempted to buy something fancy but didn't know what poundage I'd need. Now, assuming these are accurate (a big assumption), I can crush the 150lb comfortably and the 200 8 reps with effort. I have a set to start with, and a baseline to know where to go from here, and I didn't break the bank to get it.

These are basically indestructible....so that's enough for me, not sure why people are paying like $75-200 for plastic digital ones that will more then likely shatter into pieces after the first couple of months. These should be a great set for anyone getting started, some people feel like 50 pound jumps are too much but honestly I feel it's adequate. The 50's were too weak for me, I started off on the 100 instead but It hasn't been a week and I've already decided to move up to the 150. I will say though that I can see myself being on that one for a bit before I feel comfortable moving up to the 200. I don't need a display to tell me how much pressure pushing because it says it on the bottom. The little foam pads will likely wear out over time but are really cheap and can be easily found on here. They will likely not be comfortable without the cover's. I can imagine some really huge guys feeling like the 200 pound ones aren't quite enough but for most people I would imagine it will be. I'm working my way up to them, but even when you do, if you feel like your able to do plenty of reps, just start holding them in longer, or try to find some stronger ones.
