KuRoKo Case Cover with Hand Strap and Pen Holder for Remarkable 1 (Will not fit for Remarkable 2)

I was disappointed that the only color case I could get for mr reMarkable first generation was black, but when I saw it in person, I was very impressed. The case is attractive, sturdy, and protects my reMarkable very well. It has the same pockets and holders that my first case had, and is really quite convenient. The case fits perfectly. I am quite pleased.

I went nuts when I first purchased my ReMarkable tablet. I purchased the leather folio from the manufacturer's website. I bought the Capra Leather reMarkable Tablet Case from Amazon. Both are nice, if a bit impractical for daily use. I'm part of an Agile team, so, I'm in meetings daily. With the other cases, you can't use the table unless you remove it from the case. So, you either don't use the case all day or you pull it out and put it in multiple times a day. I know, FWP, but it is annoying. Enter the KuRoKo. It fits snugly on the device. The magnets in the lid are just strong enough to keep the cover closed. The pen sleeve has an elastic band to secure the overly expensive pen. The inside of the front cover has a hand hold built in. I've only used it a few times but I appreciate that it is there.I bought this case in January 2019. The reason I'm writing this review now is because this case saved my device today. I was running a little late this morning and preoccupied. I sat the device on the roof of my car along with my coffee mug. About half-way to work, traveling along my local interstate at approximately 70 MPH, sipping my coffee, I looked over at the empty passenger seat and realized I left the tablet on the top of the car. My heart sank. I had visions of my tablet on the road somewhere between my house and my current location, smashed to smithereens under the wheels of a hundred rush hour cars. I reached up and slid the sunshade back on the moonroof and there it was! My tablet was clinging to the moonroof, right were I left it. The fake leather used on this case has an almost sticky feel to it. It's somewhere between vinyl and leather. It had just enough natural friction to keep from sliding off the roof. I do have a windshield on the front of the moonroof, so the reduced drag probably played a big role. But there is no doubt in my mind that had I used one of my bougie, leather cases, my investment would be lost.

I got a black cover for me and a white cover for my wife. We both like it.[Pros]-It holds a reMarkable and a pen together. This sounds like a small feature but if you kept a reMarkable and a pen independently as I did, it's a night and day.-Another nice feature(I guess it's more of a side effect) is that you can put a pen on the screen, let it roll, but it stops at the edges because of the cover. Without a cover, the pen will fall off from the device and roll to the table or ground. That peace of mind that you can just throw a pen on the device when you are not writing is precious.-Previously, when I put reMarkable in a backpack without any covers I think it got bent slightly. I could see the device was not as stable as it used to be when I placed it on a flat surface. I'm not sure how durable the cover actually is but I believe that an additional layer on top of the device will make the whole thing more rigid. I feel more confident now putting a device with this cover into a backpack.[Not Cons but small notes]-I'm not a fan of design especially the curves on the edges but I can live with that.-Comparing to the black cover, the white one seems it could get dirty easily. Don't get me wrong the material is fine. And it looks good as well. For a guy who doesn't baby stuff, I think black(or grey) can survive much better than white.

The case is what I expected and does the job. The buttons don’t line up exactly but I can live with that. I do love that the pen doesn’t slide out as easily as it did in my other case!

Happy with this product, the leather look is very sleek and it looks professional for attending meetings. I particularly like the strap which means it can be held in one hand for note taking!It arrived quickly (2-3 days) so I’m very satisfied with shipping.It fits my ReMarkable perfectly and the slot for the pen also is a nice snug fit. It feels sturdy in the hands so I’m hoping it will provide adequate protection to the device.I haven’t noticed the magnets of the cover causing any interference with the device so far, but it has only been on a week. I suspect that they are far enough away that they shouldn’t cause any interference? I’ll provide an update in a few months if people wish.Price wise I think it’s reasonable for the quality, particularly when it is protecting your €500 device!

I ordered this case instead of the case reMarkable sells on their site from $80-130, which is essentially a sheath. This, however is a nice snug case which closes and has tiny magnetic latch which keeps the case closed as you handle it.After having in for a couple days i realised i had to tuck in the velcro strip under the left side of the unit for a good snug fit. Otherwise the left frame of this sort of overhangs (see pic). The pen not only has a loop but a sheath for it. Everything fits perfectly and protects the unit for a VERY reasonable cost.I'm doing an in depth review of the reMarkable (and this case) on alchemyfor.life (and making a video if there's enough interest).I've had this for two weeks now and no issues... This case is outstanding. I love my ReMarkable tablet, but I hate that the case that ships with it is so lame. But the tablet is a perfect fit into this notebook style folio, with a cover that easily folds back over out of the way if you are writing on a table. It has a great elastic strap if you need to hold the tablet while you are reading or writing, easy access to all the buttons and connections, a place that securely holds the pen but doesn't increase the thickness of the folio, and a magnetic closure that keeps the cover closed. Usually I have some issue or another with any accessory that I buy for my electronics, but they nailed it on this one. 5 stars!
