The rectangular shape of the base allows me to store multiple bottles in the fridge. I like to decant large round bottles of juice or milk into these containers just because they’re easier to handle and store. I also like the red top. It’s easy to ID in the fridge, does not drip when I pour, and the cap easily pops off and on unlike other brands.

Been using these for years. Great for liquid or dry storage. Fits well in travel trailer refrigerator doors for milk, juice or water.Buy the cheaper gallon of milk and put it in two of these in the refrigerator door. For cleaning I put a bit of ivory dish soap with a cup or so of water and a paper towel close it up and swish it back and forth for a while the rinse well.

I use 2 in rotation and I am buying a third one because I just gave one to my daughter.I understand the "leaky" comments because I had the same issue when I first used one. Now I only tighten until it feels snug. Remember the threads in the lid and container are plastic and fit together well, but if you over-tighten, they will slightly deform and lose the seal. Now that I tighten the lid enough instead of a lot, neither bottle has leaked anymore.I appreciate that the bottle only has 2 pieces (replace one that had 4 pieces and required disassembly to clean).

I really like these pitchers, and have been using them for several years. I always like to have two in the house, one in use, and then a second one so that when the one needs to be washed, I have another one to use. One of mine seemed to be getting a little leaky when I would shake it to mix the contents. I threw it away. Big mistake. I had them for so long, I didn't know that you couldn't buy them in the stores anymore. I looked everywhere. I was pretty sad. I saw the reviews on here were kind of mixed. It sounded like maybe they aren't as good as they used to be. I don't understand why, they look like the same product. I finally decided to go ahead and buy one, because having just one was driving me nuts. Well, they aren't quite as good, but it's not that bad. There seems to be a slight leaking problem from the screw on cap when you shake, or when it's really full and you squeeze. It doesn't do it all of the time, and it's not like it's a gush or anything, it's just a bit. I'm willing to put up with it, because these are still my favorite pitchers. I like the shape and the way they fit in the shelves of the refrigerator door. I don't think Rubbermaid makes this anymore. I may be wrong, but I just can't seem to find any reference that they do. Anyhow, this little leakage problem, it doesn't happen all of the time, for some reason. If you are like me, and you have had this pitcher before and you love it and want another one, I would go for it. But if you are someone who knows you are going to be bother by that little leak, well you better pass. I'm willing to put up with it for the love of this pitcher, silly as that may sound. In fact, I am going to order another one or two for backups.

I've had the smaller version of these bottles for years with no problems. No leaks and no breakage of lids etc.For a long time I avoided buying this larger version because I have small hands/short fingers and would prefer to have a handle because with some bottles/containers, I have a hard time keeping ahold of them with just one hand. I'm happy to say that because this has an indent, I'm able to easily remove it from the fridge, pour and replace without feeling like I might drop it.Also, my husband and I like to have a lot of variety for drinks so I just bought a compact fridge for beverages (Haier 3.2 cu ft) and I can fit at least 3 of these containers into the door of the new little fridge. I bought two of these and I'm thinking I'll probably buy another set so I have some spares.Bottom line: Don't take up a lot of space, seem very sturdy, easy to handle and a great price.

I chose to pay way more for this discontinued Rubbermaid 2-Quart Pitcher because it’s like the other one I have, and I like the way they fit in refrigerator shelves. I had two previously, but the plastic ribbon between the top and the flip-lid on one broke. It’s been nice to have an extra plastic 2-quart container that I can put frozen juice into, and just rinse out the dirty one for later dishwashing. The lid is much easier and quicker to clean well, and I soak the container in my dishpan before scrubbing it out with a dish brush. I more or less paid $15 for the lid on this pitcher, and I balked at that, but I’m glad I decided to do it. You buy something you like, and when you need to replace it, only a new model is available. But sometimes you can still get one. So now I have one for orange juice and one for limeade, and a spare plastic container so I don’t have to soak and clean the dirty one right away.

I love these because they hold 2 quarts and seal, so if I'm on the go I can pack a decent amount of water or drink and not worry about it leaking everywhere. The screw off top makes it awesome for both cleaning and putting ice in. Finally the measurements make mixing whatever easy to get things right without having to dirty measuring cups. Great containers. Glad I could find them here.

I use this to put the distilled water in for my sleep machine. Much easier to pour out than a big jug. Works great and is well made.
