I took advantage of the LassoTag promotion and bought all 7 colors as Christmas gifts. They were the perfect stocking stuffer. Packaging was minimal and the instructions were virtual. I didn’t mind and my family/friends didn’t have any issues figuring it out. No need to destroy a rainforest.Product is very sturdy and made of good quality. Almost too sturdy. It was a bit difficult opening up the tag to remove the safety tab.The application is intuitive and set up was easy. It took a bit longer to connect than I would have liked, but once connected it works like a champ. I bought the Notification Service for my own personal use since I sometimes don’t hear/see the alert on the phone. The text message and phone call has saved by bacon a couple of times now.The LassoTag has a bunch of good uses. My son is using it to track his kids. My sister travels a lot so she is using it to make sure her luggage gets on the plane. And my neighbor stuck his on his deck to use as an external thermometer.

I bought two of the lassotags, and activated them both on the same day. I have two cars, and I keep the keys on separate keychains. They are only pinged rarely. One of them died after a few weeks. It might be just a battery issue, BUT why would the battery only last such a short while?My other beef with this gadget is that it is really hard to open it up to activate/replace battery. The coin slot opener wore off after I opened it twice. I ended opening it with a screw driver wedged in. It made the coin slot even less effective, but at least I can test my theory that it is a battery problem and not that the lassotag itself is prematurely dead....

I've had this a few days and put it on my key ring.It can alert you when it loses contact with your phone with audio and or text messages.There's an app you download and make an account.The map on the app shows where the phone and lasso tag their connected.You can also set alerts when it connects or reconnects to the phone. So if you loose the tag it will tell you when you're getting warm.It says accurate within 50 feet but you can narrow it closer than that.About 50 feet is the range max before it loses connection.The app has a notice that the service is free for 30 daysthen $12.99 a year for up to 6 tags!

Absolute RIPOFF! First of all, you get 30 days free tracking, after that, if you want to continue tracking an item, you have to pay a yearly fee. Had I known that in the first place, I definitely would NOT have bought this item. On the the actual item itself... I live in a mid-size home (2100 sq ft), and if my phone is on one side of the house from the item, I get a notice that it's lost contact. Total waste of money in my opinion.

Would like for it to have a closer range, Like within 5', and it keeps giving me alerts, when the cat is inside the house

The app LassoTag dosnt work with any Apple dispositive. I have tried with My iPhone, IPod and Ipad and unfortunately didnt Work with all of them.

I loved the product. It has a thousand different possible uses.
