Q: Does this tarp have a smell ?

I never noticed a smell but these have been outdoors exclusively since we bought them. I have a pretty good sense of smell and believe I would have noticed one when unpacking and hanging. These have been excellent for covering our kayaks and have withstood all weather elements from winter and summer without issues. Until then we where constantly having to replace every year. They have faded a bit in the extreme sun exposure. But I'd expect that. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.

It’s a heavy duty tarp. I can’t speak from experience but I doubt hail is going to damage it.
