Historical facts brought this book alive.
I have to admit that so far in my life, the closest I have got to "Wutherinig Heights" was the Kate Bush classic of 1978. I was intrigued by the concept of this book, that is, adding a biography to the original version of the book. Despite being a fan of social history, I had never considered Emily Bronte's classic book to be of historical interest. How wrong I was. This is a glorious book, explaining so much of the historical background to the author and the book. I love it! A great addition to the library of anyone that loves the English classics.

Brilliantly informative biography of Emily Bronte
This is one of my favourite novels from my younger years. I thought it was time to re-read it. I really love this edition for the fantastic biography of Emily Bronte at the beginning of the book. I was astonished to find so much information, having thought I knew the basics about the Bronte sisters. There was much I didn't know about and much that I'd remembered wrongly. The biographical introduction itself is well worth buying this edition of Wuthering Heights for.
