I have quite a few pupils in each of my classes that find it easier to read using various different colours. These reading rulers are great as they contain all the colours I could possibly need. A little expensive but great for lots of different pupils so good value for money overall.

Bought these to help students who struggle to read black print on white paper. One now missing from my set - given to a student when he left, it saw him through college, and is now kept in his boss' van for when he needs to read instructions. That's a recommendation!!

This is a very useful book with lots of photocopiable scripts for everyday living skills. It teaches in an easy to understand language without jargon making it a very useful tool to anyone working with or caring for a child with communication difficulties.

Perfect size and quality for students to use when reading. Helps them see the text clearer and keep their place. Delivered in a useful wallet. Good variety of colours in the pack.

I’ve purchased cheaper version of these filters, but they had distortions in the plastic and small scratches.These filters by Crossbow do not have any distortions and are a lot easier to read through, that is the aim after all, to make it easier to read. I now read a lot longer before getting tired eyes. Well worth getting the pack rather than individual filters.

Works well

Both my daughters have visual stress, and one has been diagnosed dyslexic. These rulers are great for portability. They certainly feel sturdier and thicker than the overlays my daughters like using for reading printed text, so there is less worry of them bending it and creating crease marks which would necessitate replacement of these. Although my daughters both got tested for visual stress at the local Specsavers and got given Cerium-branded overlays in their suitable colours, I found these rulers an exact match of colours for them (one uses turquoise and one uses blue). It is also possible to combine the rulers/overlays to mix colours, but so far my daughters didn’t need to combine colours. They’re resistant to the idea of wearing tinted glasses, but are happy to use overlays, so this is worth the money.
