Beautiful Pepsi Mako II
This is one of those purchases that has exceeded my expectations. I've had this Mako II nearly a week and time keeping is fantastic, can't say I've noticed any inaccuracies over this period. Charge to the movement lasts no problem. Easily as good a movement as the Seiko equivalent (e.g. NH35). The watch case sits on my wrist as comfortably as any other I have, and feels solid without in any sense being a chunky peice. In fact it's my new daily. The bezel operates with no stickiness and the pepsi insert is a real eye catcher. The hands are my preferred style and not attempting to mimic any of the other nose bleedingly expensive watches. The red accent on the second hand sets off the face and stands out with the Pepsi bezel insert. Lume seems average but i have not really charged it up. It does seem less outstanding than seiko lume though. The crown is admittedly slightly fidly but nothing remotely near a deal breaker. I wear this as a daily and will not need to keep adjusting (especially as it keeps great time). When I did initially set the time it was fine to adjust the date and day and it just felt a but fidly to pop and screw back in but the wind function is no problem. Bracelet easy to adjust and good enough quality at this price. I like the way the bracelet blends into the watch case and does not gap. Finally the blue face and numerical indecies make the watch very easy to read and presents and very clean and classic look in my opinion. Fantastic watch, worth chipping up to this price point from the various lower budget brands and without a doubt it feels, looks and behaves as a quality time piece. Go for it!

A Good Watch
This watch is good. I am surprised at the accuracy. It is accurate, if you use it daily or place it on a swing watch winder when you're not using it. I love the dail; it's non reflective, makes viewing the time easy and clear. The strap is good and secure, with room for adjustment. I can confirm the following: It is both manual and self winding. The winding knob can be locked. The hacking works. It is water resistant. The movement is automatic; no battery needed. It is not glossy, looks very matured. The 40hrs reserve power is actually true. I have set it down for over a day, without the accuracy being affected. It is a quiet watch. I love this watch and I recommend it.

Good quality
I go through what feels like I do Costa coffee after trying to read about the make I thought it would be worth a purchase just out of curiosity I was pleasantly surprised the outer box which was well decorated and then to the watch most important thing off all is it worth the money definitely is it well made for the money and does it come up to the standards it says so I will be very easily to adjust the bracelet which is solid stainless steel and pretty well decorated as you will see on the photograph but not overdone the dial plain simple without a lot of writing that takes the whole of the face up very simple very straightforward so I never wear an automatic watch for at least 2 days as a once it is set up I want to make sure that it is running + or - 1-minute per day simply because the watches is well under£200 I like the fact that it's got a screw in crown but it also has crown guards which is quite a nice touch the dial is very simple black with reasonably good illumination in the dark I was quite surprised and also having the day and date is a little bit of a bonus it's a reasonable size of round about 42 mm from crown to edge water resistant yes without a shadow of a doubt but will only find that out when it falls over the side of the boat and drops down about 40 meters in the hope that I can recover it so I give this watch five stars something because it's well made there is no rough edges anywhere are not even on the clasp which was very surprising because normally they like razor blades at times on watches for the last 36 hours it has kept very good time indeed with very little variation in seconds over a day and a half definitely good value for money good looking watch and comfortable to wear are are the back casing of the watch is nice fine and simple with discrete model number where it's made and all the rest of it with a little holographic sticker and after reading found out that they are made by the Seiko watch group well that puts it in a different category as it looks a lot more expensive than what it actually costs

Almost brilliant!
Fantastic value for money, really good finishing, the dial looks very crisp with its matt black finish, hollow end links fit well so no rattle on the bracket, very comfortable. Only downsides, pressed clasp ewwh! and crown is a little small and not comfortable to screw in and out. But otherwise great watch, if your interested in one just pull trigger you'll love it

Love at first sight
Once in a blue moon you receive a product that just exceeds your expectations, and this happened a few hours ago. The Orient Mako ii Black just arrived to me in UK from USA 5 days early. - It looks just stunning; the bracelet is quality - amazing. - The weight is really comfortable - you know it's there but in a reassuring kind of way. - The crown is small and screwing it out first time was difficult. The crown guard covers most of it so there's very little surface to grab so you end up digging in with your thumbnails. - The 3 positions, for winding, date setting and time setting are very close together. - Lume is not in the same league as Seiko 5, but you get hacking and manual wind and a better bracelet. Bezel is tight and a tiny bit to the right of centre at 12 but you're forgiven. The rest of the review just gives advice on setting it up first time. To adjust bracelet, push the pins out IN THE DIRECTION of the arrow. I needed 2 links removed so took one from each side, so the clasp stays central. A .5mm clutch pencil is the perfect size. If you're going to hand wind it (I needed to get mine going) just give it a few turns, because if you think you're in the date position and give it a turn you might wind it more than you should. Then pull the crown all the way out and set time to 6 o clock (so you don't damage the movement setting the date). Then push it in one click and set the day/date to yesterday or 2 days ago. Then fix the date by changing the time. Go a minute or 2 past, pusk the crown in 1 step to let the seconds get to 12. Pull out again and wait for time.is to catch up with you and push the crown in bang on time. The watch is adorable – just get it and stare!

Best value at this price range
This is a great overall wristwatch. You can't go wrong with it. It has all the bells and whistles of a modern automatic movement. I've timed it and it runs just great at around 5s/day faster. I'd say is on par with Seiko's SKX when it comes to build quality. The steel has perfect finish and the looks is great. It's obvious that at this price range you don't get a sapphire. Only mineral. The bracelet is on the cheap side and is nothing to write poems about. I've swapped it immediately for $20 leather strap. I'd say the watch now looks a ton better. Also beware of the tight screw crown. It's very hard to screw down and requires a lot of force. Overall I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

Highly recommended
I read and saw reviews of this watch and duly ordered one. It arrived only three days later and I am well pleased with it so far. The case size is just right for my 7-inch wrist, helped by its short lugs and comfortable curve. The dial is a lovely blue, which changes with the light. The bezel is narrow compared with some "dive" watches and a darker blue than the dial. I like this. As other reports say, the bezel is stiff, but would no doubt slacken with use, although I can't forsee anyone actually using this watch for serious diving! The bracelet is of good quality, with a nice clasp, reminiscent of a Seiko. The watch is keeping good time, and for 130 Pounds represents excellent value for money. Highly recommended, overall.

Excellent Watch
I bought this watch as I needed a decent watch for every day use, but I already had a good watch I wore every day but I thought it would be good to change my watch every now and again. So when I looked for a watch I seen this and read the reviews and thought I'd give it a go , Well I bought a citizen eco drive off Amazon and used that for over a year until it broke on me , so after a year of not using it I took it out adjusted the time a day and date and hoped it worked and it did , I thought wow this must be a really good watch if it works after sitting idle for so long ,so from now on this is my go-to watch , It looks good in my wrist and I can wear it for any occasion, I would highly recommend this watch for the simple fact that its working , where others did not work , after all you need a watch that works and this has proved it ,you won't go wrong with this watch it's a classy watch with good reviews and a good brand
