The incense sticks are thin & brittle, so break frequently. The scent is subtle—like real juicy pear juice. I don’t smell any clove or patchouli. These are boring by themselves, but are nice layered with other sticks.The box is junky—it’s a fiberboard box covered with fake bamboo grain contact paper. The holder is too shallow to hold the long sticks securely. The foam surface catches ashes and is difficult to clean. The inner cardboard sleeve is pretty. This set is photogenic online, but disappointing in person.

It does not have a strong lasting scent at all. I put it in my home office but it does not carry a strong scent

There are two types of incense: Indian ones are more perfume like and other Asian ones are earthier, deeper, smokier. This is the latter. The description lists a blend of aromas, but the box only mentions agarwood. The aroma is forest like with hints of pine, oud, and something just a little sharp. Very pleasant and relaxing. Puts me in mind of sitting in front of a campfire on a wet fall day for some reason.There are also two forms of stick incense. Ones that have a bamboo skewer the incense is stuck to, and the more Japanese style that’s only the incense pressed into a thin rod. This is the latter in this measure as well. I’ve never had this style in rods that are so thin and so long. Wasn’t expecting it and broke a few getting them out of the sleeve and lighting them. Not a dong on the product, that was user error. I prefer this style as it leaves no bits that need to be disposed of aside from ash.The presentation deserves mention as well. It comes in a nice wooden box. The inside of the pull off lid is foam with a small incense holder attached in the middle. The incense is in a decorated cardboard sleeve inside the box. Very nice, and would make a good looking gift presentation. If I had one actual quibble it’s that incense holder. There is no choice for the ash but to drop onto the foam. In my mind that’s a big no-no. Every incense reminds you to burn it only on a non-flammable surface. So I am following that wisdom. Right now I have a stick burning in my sand pot. Last night I used a stone holder with a metal grate in the middle the stick fits into. I encourage you to do the same.Very much like this and would buy more or look for other aromas from the same maker.

That burner may well work in a pinch, but the best way to burn these is in a coffin-style stick incense burner on a fireproof mat. That way you get every bit of the precious stick to burn and leave nothing to waste. I have a ceramic coffin-style burner that works perfectly with these sticks.In terms of fragrance, these sticks are so heavenly. According to TUDMOEOL, the agarwood base is paired with sandalwood, cloves, patchouli, pear juice, and honey. I'm sure the exact recipe is a company secret, but the result is such an amazing fragrance that is woody, savory, sweet, and just lovely. These sticks burn like high-end sticks because in terms of quality, that is exactly what they are.The price point for this incense is exceptional, a real bargain for the incense connoisseur. I would gladly pay double, but so glad that I don't have to. This product is definitely worth it and would make an excellent gift to a true incense enthusiast. This is one of the best Chinese stick incense products I have every had the pleasure to experience. Worth every penny and then some.

The incense smells good, and wood feels high quality. I’m happy I ordered it! However, the one issue I have is the incense sticks themselves. They’re very thin and brittle, more than normal, and pulling one out of the box is enough to break it.

Very high quality, traditionally made, great presentation, would be a thoughtful gift, has a very pleasant and natural scent. Has a surprisingly long burn time considering the thin nature. It has no pungent smoke smell like the bamboo stick incense.

These incense sticks from Tudmoeol are now among my top 5 favorite incense scents. I love sandalwood and that is the note that comes through here the strongest and also lingers after the sticks are burned! These aren't super smoky and do not leave residual smoke smell, just the sweet sandalwood scent.The first couple of times I first burned these, I only burned one. These sticks are so thin that one just isn't enough and I initially thought they were duds because the scent was so faint. My happy burning number is 4. Four fills the room I am in with scent and goes a little beyond. Because there are so many sticks in this pack AND they are so thin, I suspect they are supposed to be burned 2+ at a time. They work fine in the little holder that comes with this pack. Be aware when you open the pack that they are very delicate and easily break (I found this out the hard way).I'll definitely be getting a refill of these when I run out. These smell exactly the way I want my house to smell.
