Got this for a carper that was really matted. Worked really well on a mildly matted rug but only partially on a really matted rug. I would say it improved the look of both carpets but the less matted one looks new and the other doesn’t. Would suggest getting and using before carpet is really bad.

Works well! Definitely takes some effort on older, well worn carpet in high traffic spots like the stairs but honestly worked better than I expected on our 11 year old carpet. I don’t fully expect it to stay like that as I don’t intend to routinely upkeep but will be handy for those times I have time and motivation to make the stairs look nice.

Love this for my carpet fringes! Works like a charm! Wish it had a longer handle so I can use it standing up lol, but recommend this for carpet fringes. Won't damage fringes and detangled with ease!
