I love these, they're a tiny bit stiff and they squeak against the dishes a little when brand new, but they soften up and stop squeaking as they get broken in. I've had no smell in the one sponge I've been using, so far, other than the smell of the dish soap I use, even after weeks of use.

If you’re looking for a “cleaner” sponge, this is a great option. Years ago I had switched to dish rags that I could actually wash because of how dirty a typical sponge was, harboring bacteria and not “cleanable” so to speak. My friend introduced me to this sponge, and it’s been great. It’s so easy to wash this sponge by running it through the dishwasher or if you don’t have a dishwasher, lathering it up well with soap and rinsing it with very hot water and letting it air dry. I think the scrub-ability of this sponge is pretty good for being silicone, and I am happy with the way it washes my hand-wash dishes. Now the sponge can get small food particles caught into it, but it does eventually work itself out. Also, when cleaning any knife be careful not to slice your sponge, I have done that. Overtime and through washing the sponge will eventually wear and you start with a new one, but this is the same for any sponge. I will continue to use this style of sponge for all my hand-washing needs.

Great replacement for traditional sponges. They don't smell and last a long time.

The sponges do a great job of holding up to scrubbing, not carrying any bacteria or creating smell and are very re-usable. The only drawback is they don't hold a soapy lather for long due to the nature of the material.

Bought these for my new apartment as my boyfriend and I hate traditional sponges and the bacteria they hold onto. We were a bit hesitant due to reviews saying it doesn’t lather well but we’ve found they lather perfectly fine! We get the sponge wet, add soap and then get a good lather by squishing the sponge like a loofah and it’s perfect. They’re a good size, don’t scratch and work better than we expected! Highly recommend for a better sponge alternative
