Gray Man: Camouflage for Crowds, Cities, and Civil Crisis

I am correctional officer and have been for sometime. I was reading some of the reviews and can not understand the low stars. That being said this book is well written and has a lot of useful information that it important to live low key with situational awareness. I give this book five stars because it deserves it and author knows key points for survival in this ever changing evil world. I apply these principles in my day to day life before even reading this book.

Very good basic as well as useful information for the beginner just learning to hide in plain sight and move undetected.

The information was good. Clearly written. Certainly useful for many people. However, from my perspective it felt belabored and got hard to read as a result.

I found some great ideas. This book actually helped me realize how some ideas that look great from one perspective can be dangerous from another.For example, in this book the author talks about how a mineral bottle water in a 3rd world country can give away that you are a tourist. I never thought about it and I realized that in future I will just carry a simple drinking bottle filled with mineral water.

I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting with this book. It is good if you need a foundational understanding of the gray man concept. Especially good if what you really need is someone to tell you wearing 5.11 bdu pants and hiking boots probably isn't helping you blend into a public setting most of the time. But besides that I wouldn't say the information in this book is groundbreaking. It's going to stay on my shelf for now though.

There is some good information about techniques and tactics in this book. I am glad I bought it. If you are a Grammar Nazi, Spelling Police, or even a Syntax Super Soldier, you might find it a bit maddening. It is still easy to understand and a good read.

Goes into the psychology of perception and why people notice you. Takes into account different cultures and their perceptions. You'll read it once, then go back to it from time to time as a reference manual. Well laid out and thorough.

Safety and survival may depend on blending in. This book coaches the reader through the willful, purposeful abandonment of individuality. The basics of the book are found on pages 10-11, the “ABC’s”.Mankind is the most lethal predator. Be unnoticeable, unremarkable, unmemorable. Be vigilant and practice. This book shows you how to start.The spelling fell apart around page 57. This is a common problem with self-publishing. It doesn’t reduce the value of the information in the book.

Great book

All his books are good, worthwhile and thoughtful desired volumes. Great subject little written about covered well here. The grey man (or Gray Man) blending into the background unnoticed. Among the crowd. Not standing out. Not trying to be noticed. The task and desire of every secret intelligence services operative.

Its not an useful book at all, there is a lot of better info found on online videos
