I think anyone with an automatic watch will know how inconvenient it can be if you ever own more than one automatic watch and need to wind your watch after not wearing it for a while. I have four so this Oryx watch winder works perfectly for me. First impression:: When I received the package I was impressed. There was box within another box to ensure all the wooden edges are well protected. Also the inner box came protected with styroform with enhanced plastic edges. The anti tempered / open tape was great but one can easily "tamper" the package by opening it from the bottom lol. Anyways, once unboxed I was so excited to see the watch winder. The wood colour was excellently stained, with the front of the glass protected by a thin layer of transparent plastic tape. The wood is solid and not some cheaply made fake snake skin looking leather. All four corners were perfectly edged with no chipped corners. The package came with a power cable as well as a cloth to clean your watches and/or the watch winder glass. On the back of the winder you will find three switches. Power switch which is the main source of power, a red switch which control the blue led lighting, and an additional switch which enables the winder rotation to stop as soon as the glass is opened, or you can choose to not stop the rotation. If turned on, when the lid is opened, the spinning will stop. In the front there are four silver dial knobs to control the spinning on each side. There are 4 settings which allows you to rotate different frequencies. Most settings are 2 mins then stop for 6 minutes. There is one option to rotate for a few minutes and stop for 6 minutes and it will continue and eventually stop rotating for 9 hours or sonething like that... I can't remember exactly but I think that option will be useful for someone that don't want to hear any noise at all during sleeping time. The slots and the watch pillow could be a bit bigger. You will have to play with how you wanted to wrap your watch around the pillow but the good thing is you can put it horizonally or vertically and there is no wrong way as it will still spin regardless of how you place the watch pillow. Now I saw some comments complainting about noises. In my humble opinion when you are spinning all four rotatorrs at the same time yes there will be some noise. In term of noise level if rotating individually or 2 at a time this is extremely quiet. I'm not sure why some users complained about noise issue as I have measured the noise and with both sides spinning it only measured 10~15 max db. Even with four rotating it's well less than 25 db. Therefore in my humble opinion given the price I would say this device is more than acceptable as individually it is extremely quiet. In term of aesthetic it is exactly as it appeared in the picture. The watch pillow could be a bit better quality but it isn't bad at all. One complaint I do have is the design of the blue LEDs. The LED strip basically just stick onto the top of the box. You really have to look up from below to see it but it kind of destroyed the premium image of this winder. Although it's not a deal killer but I thought they could have designed this led lightung part to looks a bit more professional . Besides from that the blue leds makes it so pleasing to watch your watches spin. I eagerly watched it spins for a good few minutes and truely appreciate the added aesthetic value from this winder..... It is so clam and satisfying to watch your beloved watches being placed inside this winder... The feeling only watch enthusiast will understand. For the cost, it's very reasonable priced. I am so glad that this watch winder did not disappoint me and it just renew my interest for my watch collecting hobby. I might needs to get additional watch winder once I get more automatic watches. If you are like me and don't want to have to adjust your watch each time then this is a no brainer.

Very nice overall fit and finish. A small handle of some sort to assist with opening would add to the ease of operation. Placing some of the less used controls on the back with the rotation controls on the front is a nice touch. I have a couple other winders that have a larger foot print. This winder is a nice compact unit that works well and looks and feels much more expensive. I already bought a second unit. Very satisfied.

At this price point, that feels inexcusable. However, after researching the market, I've realized watch winders as a category are generally overpriced. This model actually sits on the lower end of the spectrum compared to competitors, many of which cost significantly more while offering comparable or inferior quality. Overall, despite the missing adapter and lighting that could be better, this is a solid product I'm comfortable recommending to collectors. The quality matches the price when you consider the market, and it serves its dual purpose beautifully—keeping watches wound while displaying them attractively. If you need a reliable solution for maintaining multiple timepieces and want something that looks good doing it, this delivers on those expectations. Just make sure you have a USB power adapter ready.
