Needed these for work and they worked perfectly just what I needed.

These work really well. My kid used them at school and wrote on them with her pen, then was able to erase them.

The shelves use a sturdy paper divider for the label, which you can erase and reuse by using a pencil or water-based rollerball, or by using a printable label sticker

If you are prepping for a school year, these are the way to go. They work with any 3 ring binder and it's really nice to have a huge set because invariably, I need more than the 5 and 8 tab sets can provide. As a homeschool mom, I type out outlines and create student versions with blanks of the same outlines for each chapter (I'm working on Earth Science currently). It takes a while to do this, but I find it's easier to stay organized if I have a tab for each chapter - and there are 14 chapters. It's so much easier to just have a large set of these and not feel like I have to conserve them or that I'm breaking them up into unusable sets. Maybe that's a silly way to look at it, but I hate breaking open 4 sets when this comes as just a huge cycling pile of tabbed dividers. It's just ideal and easier to store and keep up with. I like easy. I need easy. This is an easy button. Not to mention, it doesn't break the bank.

They are remarkably sturdy. The reinforced holes make them long-lasting and the labels are thick and unbending, meaning that they will last for repeated uses.There are eight tabs, with three repeating colors, but they're in different positions making it easy to distinguish between them. There are also 15 sets of them in this pack, giving you more than enough for any project you'll do, and then some. The tabs look like they can be washed off if you use a washable marker for them. Even if you'd rather not, there are more than enough to fill in for the next set even if you dispose of them.Highly recommend if you have a lot of projects to work on and need a lot of organization.

Was too small fir my needs

I needed a large quantity of small tabbed index dividers to complete a project, so I decided to give these paper ones a try. I was concerned about them ripping since I was transferring a large number of documents into a 3 inch binder, and flipping the pages back and forth quite a bit. The reinforced left edge protected the holes, and none of them ripped despite some very rigorous shuffling around. The right edges held up well since the tabs are coated.I used a permanent, fine-tip marker to write on one of the labels and wasn't very happy with the results. The ink ran a bit... but on the plus side, I was able to rub it all off after it dried. I won't be labeling these but you may have better results using a label maker and applying that to the label.The dividers are good for regular letter-sized paper, just be aware that they will not be visible if you're using page protectors.There are a lot of dividers in the box (120, so 15 sets of 8), which is great if you're working on a large project. They are not wrapped in individual sets; all are in one box, which is convenient.The paper used for the dividers is on the thin side, but so far no rips.If you aren't hung up on labeling them, and just need a large quantity of dividers, these are pretty good.
