This ESR keyboard case has completely transformed how I use my iPad Pro. The magnetic stand is very strong and makes setup quick and easy, while still feeling secure during everyday use. The Easy Set system is simple and intuitive, so switching between modes takes just seconds. The keyboard itself is comfortable to type on, with good key spacing and a nice, responsive feel. It’s great for emails, documents, and longer typing sessions. The trackpad is also very smooth and accurate, making it feel much more like using a laptop. One of my favourite features is the flexibility. The portrait and raised modes are genuinely useful for reading, browsing, and video calls. The removable case is another big plus, as it gives good protection when you want to use the iPad without the keyboard attached. Build quality feels premium, and everything fits perfectly. It offers excellent protection without making the iPad feel overly bulky. Overall, this is a high-quality, well-designed keyboard case that offers fantastic value for money. Great case, the keyboard works well, connects easily via Bluetooth, and the size is exactly what I needed. I really appreciate the detachable shell that protects the back and sides, saving me from buying an extra case. On my previous iPad I had a Magic Keyboard, which offered very little protection, cost almost three times as much, and still required a separate case if I wanted to use it as a regular tablet. This case is on the heavier side, which I personally don’t mind, but it does add more weight than I expected. The trackpad feels a bit “icy” when moving the cursor, though that doesn’t bother me since I mostly tap the screen and just like having the keyboard available. No comment on the battery life as it is a new purchase however at this stage I am glad I chose this over the magic keyboard.

This is a fantastic keyboard case because it provides everything I was hoping for. I had a plastic keyboard case for my last iPad (12.9" model). Since I have arthritis in my fingers, I found it really difficult to grip it and pick it up quickly due to a combination of the weight and lack of any "grippiness" to it. By contrast, this case is rubberised, making it very easy to grip and hold. The backlighting on the keys is really well executed, since you can alter both the colour and brightness level on the keys. It also has a good selection of function keys in the top row. My old case had a dedicated button to activate the onscreen keyboard, which is useful for some online forms and apps but this keyboard doesn't have that button. The tilt is very comfortable for my use and I find it well balanced in comparison to my last case. I find the weight acceptable but that will be a personal preference. It does provide great protection to the iPad when closed. It comes with an inner case, which fits around the back and sides of the iPad with cutouts for speakers and connections. One thing that isn't mentioned in writeup, which caused me some confusion, relates to the inner case (which is a tight fit to instal). I had planned to fit a skin on my iPad and not use the inner case (to save weight). When I tried to position the iPad in Portrait or Raised modes, the iPad wouldn't stay in place. It turns out that you have to use the inner case if you wish to place the iPad in portrait and raised modes. There are obviously additional magnets in the inner case to hold your iPad like this. I'm delighted with this item and would definitely recommend it.

I've started using this today, arrived last night. It's really heavy in comparison to the iPad, easily twice the iPad's weight. Makes the iPad feel more like a laptop which is fine for when the keyboard is attached. Being able to remove it and still have a case attached is genius. Great move ESR... Keyboard is decent, more key travel than the last Magic Keyboard I used but I like this, it feels like you are actually typing, the Magic Keyboard just feels weird when typing due to the minimal key travel. Setup is really simple, no video required. It connects via Bluetooth and works as described. Gestures work really nicely which making switching in between MacBook and iPad a breeze, same gestures and operation. This is exactly what I wanted, I can't recommend this keyboard enough, if you can get past the weight then it's a fantastic alternative to the Magic Keyboard from Apple, cheaper too. Another great product from ESR.
