I recently purchased the New Star Foodservice 34608 One-Piece Cast Aluminum Scoop (85 oz) and I couldn’t be happier with it. The build quality is outstanding—solid cast aluminum that feels durable and well-balanced in the hand. It does the job is good no issues this far and had it over 6 months.

This larger scoop I used to transfer water softener salt from bulk to the smaller water-softener container. Perfect size!

Great shape to throw sand, I wish the handle were longer. It's shorter/smaller then I expected but kept it.

I actually purchased this scoop for my salt melt, because my cheap plastic one broke. It's very sturdy, and doesn't even flex when there is a lot of force applied. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a scoop that will hold up over repeated uses.

Great for in my baking bins to properly scoop and level flour, sugar, ect. Smooth finish is a great look. Handle fits perfectly in my hand and also my childs

Be careful, scoops are addictive. It starts out as just one for the chicken feed or whatever, but then you enjoy it so much that you get one for the baby chick feed. And then the potting mix, then a cute lil baby scoop for the bonsai mix etc. I'm at 4 scoops already but rest assured my mind is feverishly thinking of other things that need scoops. This particular scoop is very good value and built well.

Broke at handle neck after a while, probably due to the cast material used.
