Check the Contacts before Returning
The cartridge worked...only after scraping the four contacts at the bottom. When first installed, my printer would not recognize the cartridge as original. HP drives me crazy that way. However, after gently scraping off the four small contacts on the bottom of the cartridge and reinstalling, presto, the printer recognized the cartridge as HP original and it worked just great. It was close to being a return, thankfully a little cleaning got it to work.

Too expensive, but the ink is where HP makes their money. They could give away the printers!

Cartridge Sprayed All Over my Clothing When Opening
The cartridges come with an orange tab on the bottom that can be difficult to remove. After trying to pull off the orange tab for several seconds, it suddenly came off and sprayed ink all over my clothing, floor, and the papers I had just printed. A shirt that was personally meaningful to me is now ruined. These cartridges are just messy and a pain to use.
