This little instrument packs a punch. Cleared my pea soup issue in 3/4 days and this was in a bigger tank size than recommended.I have since purchased the correct size for my aquarium and this will stay as backup. I cannot fault it 👍

A good idea badly implemented, filter head lacks ability to direct flow so limits positioning, the tiny size of sponge means the filter needs constant cleaning,this would have been better had it just been not present and instead had a plastic grill, also requires 2 separate electric outlets this should have been connected together, these issues fixed this would have been 5 star instead of 1,disappointing

This item broke within two weeks. Unfortunately i didn’t use it in straight away so was outside the return windowThe clips that hold the filter to the pump quite literally disintegrated. Not fit for purpose.

I got this for bad bacteria cleansing purposes rather than algae or keeping the water clear, similar to carbon or zeolite UV can help minimize any of the ''bad stuff'' you don't want your tank habitants to be exposed to.The filter is relatively small, kind of a skinny tube that is very easy to set up and get going, it is quite long though so you will either need to have a tank with longer side walls or set it up slanted horizontally.The UV sterilizer is attached to an air pump and there is also a very small sponge to help filter the water, this definitely should not be used as your only filtering tool since it will not be enough.One thing I don't like is that it takes up 2 slots on the extension cord, it's a bit annoying when you already have limited spots due to other tank equipment, I personally only use it intermittently instead of having it running 24/7 indefinitely.Other than that it's a great budget option to have a UV filter that's not outrageously complicated or expensive.

Regardless of any Pros and Cons this came broken and doesn’t work

Bought the uv 2 week's ago worked great clean up the green on the rocks cleaned it today not so great. The plastic clamp snapped off made from cheap plastic absolutely gutted won't buy another save your money. Tried to glue it onto the pump and that didn't work the suckers were not up to the job . Stop selling this rubbish please
