It’s a great value. Not a long-term investment it’s great for what it is. It’s the second one I’ve bought.

This rotating rotisserie grill kit is a very solid and well-built setup. The stakes are heavy duty and feel sturdy once pushed into the ground, giving the whole system good stability over a fire pit. Assembly is quick and straightforward, and it comes with basic instructions that are easy to follow. The battery motor is simple to use and runs on two D batteries, which are easy to install and change out. The motor has plenty of power to rotate the spit smoothly, even with a decent amount of weight on it. It’s also easy to clean and feels like a good value compared to similar products. While I haven’t tested it with a full 20-lb turkey yet, it definitely seems capable of handling that load without struggling. I like how versatile this setup is—it will be a lot of fun over a backyard fire pit or while camping, bringing a very old-school, “cook it over the fire” experience. It feels like a setup that will last for many seasons. One small downside is that while the motor does have a charging port, no charging cable is included, which would have really put this kit over the top in my opinion. Overall, this is a sturdy, well-designed rotisserie system that works as advertised and adds a lot of fun to outdoor cooking. A great option for campfire grilling enthusiasts.

The rotisserie is great. I often make food outside over open flame like a caveman. This installed and is put together quickly and easily. I put an 8lb or so chicken on it and it handled the weight with no issue. Having a battery is a game changer, no cords needed if outside is a mega big plus! It functioned as it should and the battery lasted the duration of my cook. The size is perfect for over the fire cooking. I have no doubt the capacity could have handled more than one chicken. I think for the price and value, this is overall a great product, especially for campers

I really wanted to love this for campfire cooking, but the design choices hold it back. First, who uses D batteries anymore? It would be so much better if it were rechargeable or ready for a USB power pack right out of the box. The size is great for a hefty chicken, though I wouldn't trust it with anything heavier like a pig. My biggest grapple with the build quality is the hardware; the wing nut on the spit fork tends to back off as the metal heats up, meaning your food can slip mid-spin if you aren't careful. I also wish the height was adjustable to control the heat better. On the positive side, the storage capacity is surprisingly good—it breaks down small and packs away easily. It is easy to use (it’s just metal that spins, after all), but for the price and the hassle with the loose nuts, the value for money just isn't quite there.

This is a small charcoal grill that's extremely portable and has the capacity to cook a meal for two in the wild, clean up and move on. I'm not an outdoorsman but I do have need for a small charcoal grill at my home on the beach. The only thing that might concerned you hikers is the need to carry along charcoal and getting the charcoal started. It should be no problem however for frequent outdoor types
