Good product

Didn't really work for me..

Firstly, this was delivered without retail packaging of any type, just in a plain brown cardboard box, secondly there were no instructions whatsoever or warranty or in fact any paperwork at all. I can only assume this was a customer return item? regardless, it does not work, by which I mean that it powers up etc. but it is totally incapable of reliably detecting anything. Passing the detector over the same piece of wall repeatedly using every setting multiple times it cannot repeatedly detect studs that I can actually see, and it will detect studs that are not there! every time I use it it gives a different result and calibrating it has no affect at all. A tool like this needs to be 100% reliable or there could be serious consequences, spend more and get something that actually works, that is what I am going to do.

Amazon is forcing me to write another review because it focuses too much on one thing which in my case the fact that it doesn’t work which is is wrong because what else would I say? Can’t even leave a honest review anymore!! Yet another cheap gadget on Amazon who I fell in the trap of buying based on reviews. This is not intuitive to use as only has one button and it gave false positives after 5 minutes of scanning that very same wall. I would not recommend it, it’s definitely work paying more and getting a tool you can trust. Impossible to contact the seller to ask a question without having to register on their website. How’s this for a review Amazon?

Works a treat but highlights how badly my house has been built as there were no studs in the wall which is another problem.Found studs in other walls and wiring

Was good at picking up stud walls but a bit hit and miss for metal and cables. According to the tester the whole of one of my walls was live rather than picking up two electrical cables only

I bought this product to check the location of wires, pipes and studs in the bathroom of a new build house. All the readings were vauge. I was expecting more accurate readings. Perhaps the price reflects the quality of the product.

Was ok for finding studs bit was not good for pive wires.
