Real computing power in a package that's comparable in size to a deck of cards!
A fully fledged 64 bit computer in a package the size of a deck of cards. Just put all the bits(board, cooler and case) together, you'll need a key board and mouse and your TV or suitable monitor. But that's it, makes some laptops look slow. The software is generally free, it'll cope with most needs and costs less than £150 for a kit. You don't need to be an expert to put it all together, they even provide a screwdriver and mounting screws. We use ours as a digital jukebox, playing our music collection via our TV and sound system - the vinyl, cassettes and CD's are all boxed up in the loft.

Raspberry Pi 5 Review
I’ve been using the Raspberry Pi 5 for a while now, and I’m really impressed. It’s fast, powerful, and a huge upgrade over previous models. The quad-core CPU and improved RAM make multitasking smooth — I’ve used it for running Linux (Raspberry Pi OS and Kali), building servers, and learning programming. One of the best parts is how flexible it is. You can turn it into a media center, a home server, or even a smart home controller. I connected it to my MacBook via SSH and VNC without needing a monitor or keyboard — super convenient. If you’re into DIY electronics, it works perfectly with kits like sensors, cameras, and AI modules. It’s a great device for both learning and building real projects.Highly recommend it to anyone interested in tech or programming!

Excellent piece of kit
Firstly a special thanks to Amazon Prime delivery on this one, - ordered at 22:28 on Saturday and it arrived at 7:31 Sunday morning!I ordered this kit from iRasptec because it stood out from the others. It comes with a metal case (not plastic) which I needed to shield from rf in my radio shack and with the official pi active cooling unit. There is also the PD 27W power supply and a 128Mb card with the latest OS for the Pi5 preinstalled. From unpacking it to having a working computer took about 10 to 15 minutes. The cooling unit fits to the board with 2 spring loaded clips which once fitted are not really intended to be removed and fitting the clips was probably the hardest part as it requires a fair amount of force to push the clips through the mounting holes on the Pi board. The pi and cooler are fitted into the very neat metal case with 4 screws and the case assembly held together by a further screw. A screwdriver is provided which holds the screws well to get them in place lined up with the mounting holes. Assembly time was around 5 minutes. To connect the cooler fan to the board there is a small clip that needs to be removed from the Pi board which is protecting the socket.Once assembled insert the provided microSD card into the slot. The holes in the case line up perfectly with the connections on the pi board so this is easy. Then connect an ethernet cable from your Internet modem, a monitor with one of the provided HDMI cables and a keyboard and mouse to the USB ports. Finally connect the PD power supply, - once you have power the Pi comes to life, the fan spins a bit and the monitor loads an opening screen. After setting up the required details the Pi Bookworm home screen comes on and all is now working, - in all no more than 20 minutes to get this far and it works perfectly.Once the OS is running I was able to switch on the WiFi and dispose with the Ethernet cable, I also have an old monitor so I was using an HDMI to VGA converter which does not allow sound. Unlike previous versions of Pi the Pi5 does not have a 3.5mm audio jack and instead uses HDMI. However, no problem once running I was able to switch on Bluetooth on the Pi5 and connect it to Bluetooth speakers so that all was running well and working very nicely.Overall a good experience for my first use of a raspberry pi, fully recommend iRasptec.
