Give your loafers or leather shoes a new look with these DIY decorative metal buckles! Whether you want to repair your old shoes or add some flair to your plain ones, these replacement shoe buckles (aka loafer chains) are the perfect choice. They are easy to install, durable, and come in various designs and sizes to suit your style. They are unisex, suitable for both men and women, and can be used for dress shoes or casual shoes. How to install the buckles in 3 simple steps: 1.Measure the inside width of the buckles and compare it with your shoes. Make sure the buckles are bigger than the shoes' inside width, or they won’t fit. (Pro Tip: If you’re not sure, always go for bigger buckles) 2.Use a pair of long-nose pliers (not included) to open up the double D-rings on both ends of the buckles. Be careful not to scratch the buckles. (Pro Tip: You can wrap some masking tape around the pliers to protect the buckles) 3.Slide the buckles onto your shoes and use the pliers to close the double D-rings securely. Make sure they are not too loose or too tight. (Pro Tip: You may need a pair of bigger pliers for this step) 4.Enjoy your new and improved shoes! What tools do you need? All you need are pliers and masking tape. You can find them at any hardware store or online. No sewing, gluing, cutting or heavy machineries required! Measure the Inside Width. Select the Right Size See pictures for how to measure the inside wifth. If you’re unsure / or your shoes’ measurement is in between, err on the bigger size. If you go too small, your shoes may become too tight.
