This is a high quality piece of furniture, beautifully made and finished. No assembly was required, and the item was well packed to ensure security in transit. The delivery was by a third party company who contacted me in advance to confirm time and date and who arrived exactly as agreed. Hallowood is a small business I have no hesitation in recommending. For the first time ever, I have a piece of furniture that's perfect for storage and access to my CDs.

I couldn't be more happy with this new piece of furniture.Heavy, sturdy and fab to look at.It's one and only role, to store my coveted CD collection.It's extremely affordable, expertly packaged and delivered with extreme care.

A fully assembled and well made sturdy cabinet - far removed from cheap flat-pack rubbish. However its not perfect . For some odd reason the shelves have been designed to hold the CD's with the hinge /spine on the left . So if you filled it, on opening the drawer all you would see is an expanse of identical looking plastic cases . Also when I tested it loaded this way - it only held around 23 per drawer - so less than the 300 advertised. To get around the problem of hidden titles/artists/composers - you would have to take some of them out so you could flick through the rest. So I tried loading the CD's spine up but this gives another problem - some of the drawers are slightly too shallow to accept tightly packed upright CD's (spine to top) . To avoid catching on the wood they have to be slanted forward ( or back ) . Other drawers seem to be OK - I guess there is some variability in manufacturing . The slant reduces the capacity of each drawer to around 20 single Cd's .The cabinet needs a re-design with greater tolerance to ensure all drawers can hold CD's spine up. Either way it doesn't hold 300 CD's .

Bought on the basis that the unit holds 270 cds as described in the main headline advertisement. Only noticed on re-examining the secondary product description, the smaller print, that the actual capacity is 207. This smaller number is about what I found it to hold. Good construction and looks good but I feel really let down by a capacity only around 75% of the capacity that I was expecting from the main description.

Bought two of these for my CD collection which I’m not quite ready to part with yet. They exceeded my expectations, they are very sturdy and look gorgeous.

Love this unit as it’s small but holds lots of CDs and DVDs. It is solidly made yet looks great in the living room. It is fully assembled and is quite heavy.

Excellent piece of furniture, very well made, just what we wanted

The drawers are not identical in size and the runners are slightly warped on some. It took us hours to get the ten drawers back in after removing them as we failed to number them on the backs of the drawers!! In the end, we had to sand down some runners to get the last one in having juggled for hours. The channels for the runners were rather rough too. We had to use candle wax on some after fine sanding.Don ’t know how many combinations of order there are, but the minimum is two hours worth. Be warned! The unit is heavy in its complete condition.The appearance is good except some drawers are perceptibly of a slightly different size, so the gaps around them are slightly different. We bought a self assembly other set of drawers and they fitted perfectly taking very little time to put into use. For the price, we would not expect perfection but the manufacturers could have put small stickers on the backs.
