This product is awesome. Make sure to triple check your measurements and maybe shave an 1/8th of an inch off to make sure this fits. I ordered it to the exact measurements that I took and had to slightly modify the frame to make it fit. It could be because the skylight I used this in wasn't perfectly square. This was a game changer once installed though. I'm able to sleep in without sunlight coming in and waking me up. It looks great, works great and wasn't a ton of money. Installation was a bit tricky but that is due to the space it was being installed not allowing for two people to work.

This is a great product and the seller is very responsive. I got my initial measurements wrong and didn’t fit my skylight but the seller graciously sent me a replacement with the correct measurements after paying for shipping. It cost me $40 more but for something that was entirely my fault, it was a good deal! Will order again in the future if needed.

The product is very good quality BUT it has a few flaws. First, and I wish I had known, it is not battery operated. It needs 110 volts. I don't think is stated in the description but maybe I read it too fast. Second, the assembly instructions are absolutely terrible. It can be assembled two ways, but the instructions don't warn you which is the correct way. If you assemble it one way, the unit does not close completely. That is what happened to me. I had to take it apart and assemble it the "other way". This shade is for the experienced DIY person. Lastly, it comes direct from China and was not packaged as well as it should have been. The frame was nicely wrapped in plastic foam, but it had lot of room on the box to bang around. One of the frame parts was bent. I was able to bend it back somewhat so I did not ask the company for a replacement.

Instructions are not properly explained and the rod on motor one side was longer so I have to cut it to snug fit the frame.I wish they have used DC motor with rechargeable Battery then I would have save $350 dollars for electric connection

Very good product, it does the job for an acceptable price. Instructions are very limited and missing several important steps. The Wi-Fi moule has instructions on the QR code, also missing, but since I already have other smart home devices using the same tuya app, I was able to figure it out. You also have to reverse the motor direction in the app from forward to back if it is closing instead of opening (YMMV)

I love this electric skylight shade so much! This makes my room dark any hour of the day. For shift workers this is a solid game changer!!! Buy it!!! My husband did have to drill a hole into the attic and then hardwire it into a junction box. And again the black and white (did not function when initially wired with their white to our neutral wire) electrical wires were reversed for our unit. The black wire was neutral! It may have just been our device. There was 0 response from the unit until connecting their black (European Neutral color) to our white (USA neutral color). Keep in mind my husband is an electrician who has worked in both the US and Europe.

You'll need to chat for a few days with their support. They could've include a few pages of documentation instead. The overall quality pretty low, looks flimsy and cheap. Not sure how long will it last.

I've had these for about a week now and they work the way you'd expect. They go up and they go down and they'll stop anywhere in-between. The color is accurate to what the pictures show and they're super easy to install. If you have taller windows like me (around 60") at first they'll want to spring back up a little when you go to close them all the way but after a couple days that stops happening.
