Bought this gate to keep my son and dog off the stair case. This works amazing and is very sturdy! I put it together without my husbands help! Highly recommend!

the installation took some effort trying to understand the user manual; overall it satisfies my needs; I need to put a gate at the balcony for my dog; The gate has a simple lock made of plastic it may not be strong for babies. But it is good enough for my dumb dog.

Love the features and applicability of these gates. We've had one indoors for a few years to limit our dogs access to some places in the house; where it has worked out great. So we bought another recently to install at the top of our exterior deck stairs; essentially turning the deck into a small kennel. We wondered how the construction would handle the elements and the one star deduction is due to the slight surface rust found in several areas around the weld joints where the paint isn't going to protect from corrosion. I wonder if the manufacturer has ever produced an all aluminum version of these gates for corrosion free exterior use? Even with the slight rust, I expect this gate will hold up for some years fulfilling the role we purchased it for.

We love this gate. It’s wonderful that you don’t have to make a permanent alterations to use it. No screwing into the wall or stair banister unless you want to. We put it up when my niece comes over and store it when she’s not here. It’s wide enough to block the stairs and no damage to the banisters.

Bought in March of this year. Normal use, nothing crazy or overly rough and the latch handle just broke off tonight. The gate part is no longer useable which makes the entire thing unusable since it’s too tall for us to step over. Disappointed because it seemed to be sturdy and it looks nice.
