Solgar, Taurine 500 Mg Vegetable Capsules, 100 Count

Solgar has always been a favorite of mine. To find this on Amazon in the strength I was looking for in "free-form" at a reasonable price was a winner. Based on my reading this amino is recommended for my health condition. Because I take it with other supplements, I am assuming it is working for me.

Taurine is a fairly simple substance that does a lot for our brain and body. I use this product one or twice a day along with a 1000mg from Jarrow. This 500mg dose affords me more options for my total daily dosage.When I do not workout, 500 mg is all I need. When I am hitting the gym hard, 1500 mg is the most that I take. Some people take much more than that. To each their own.Taking Taurine on an empty stomach began to give me acid reflux. So now I take it with a meal (normally dinner).Taurine makes me a tad drowsy so I only take I at night.

Taurine is one of the supplements which is recommended for people with tinnitus. There are no supplements which eliminate tinnitus completely, but taurine seems to take the edge off of mine, which is classified as severe. I felt the difference was significant enough that 2 weeks after purchasing the 100-capsule bottle, I made another purchase of the Solgar 250-capsule bottle.I take one 500mg capsule four times a day, with the last one being taken at bedtime. The recommended dosage is less than 3,000mg.

It's cheaper so I bought from them and what a massive difference. Thorne's taurine relaxes me like no other so I thought I'd try Solgar's Taurine. Any more than 2 capsules upsets my stomach and it doesn't have that relaxing effect that Thorne's brand does. Thorne's taurine I can take much more without upseting my stomach and fall into a relaxed state of mind that I just don't from Solgar Taurine.The extra couple of bucks is worth it!
