Ls Lady Womens Summer Flap Cover Cap Cotton Anti-UV UPF 50+ Sun Shade Hat with Bow. Adjustable Hat

I got this because I really needed a good wide-brimmed sunhat for when I was out with the students during recess. I've already had two pre-cancerous moles removed, one from my shoulder and another from my face, so protecting myself from the sun is a serious matter. This hat does the job, so far. The large brim is made from a kind of cardboard-like plastic and the fabric in general is thin and lightweight, so I'm not sure how long it'll last, especially since it goes from being folded up and stuffed back in my backpack to my head daily. (It does fold up very nicely, but I wouldn't treat it too roughly.) There's a slit in the back seam to pull a ponytail through, but the first time I tried it, it took so much time I ended up just stuffing my ponytail into the crown. (It fits.) The appearance is surprisingly cute and flattering, and I speak as someone who doesn't look good in most hats. There is, by the way, a chin strap included separately inside the package; you have to shake the bag to find it, then put it on yourself, which was pretty easy. (If you receive the hat without the strap, it means they forgot to pack it before shipping.) I still need to test this hat when I go to the beach next month and see how it holds up in a stiff breeze: but overall, I like this hat for the price.

I love this hat for gardening. It shields me from the sun but doesn't block my view. I love that it washes well in a lingerie bag on a permanent press or delicate cycle and quickly air dries. I removed 1 star because the light green/ aqua color I ordered came with a removal chin strap that did not match the color of the hat (it was a blue shade). It isn't a big deal for me but I thought I'd mention it for those who need it. I'm not going to use the chin strap as my ponytail keeps the hat firmly against my head. :)

I purchased this to wear in my convertible because it did not have a brim in the back. It provides a lot of shade when the car top is down. I don't really need to tie it, it fits snugly but comfortably, even though it is not tied. It was a lighter weight material than I expected, but looks like it will wear well and last a long time. The fabric in the back shades the neck. I may wear it for gardening also. The blue is almost navy...I may purchase another one that is a lighter color.

This hat is great sun protection and I highly recommend it for that purpose. The reason for four stars rather than five is that it should be tagged with "some assembly required". The lanyard and the bow in back have to be put together on the hat.I wore the hat for a five hour day in full sun and 95 degree heat and I did not have any sunburn on my face or neck. Normally hats tend to be a little small for me but this hat is adjustable and it was comfortable.

I needed a wide brimmed hat to completely cover my face, neck and hopefully part of my shoulders. I am going to a park near where I live to view the 100% Total Solar Eclipse and will be outside for a long time and needed to be covered due to meds I am on plus I use Essential Oils daily OMG! This hat is not only perfect for my needs but the little bit of elastic in back that is covered by the bow you tie yourself makes it fit my small head perfectly. It is not only beautiful but stylish & I can wear the light beige color with any outfit! I love love thus hat and it was a steal at only $11.98! I highly recommend this beautiful hat which comes in gorgeous color's also! Well worth the money & then some! Ladies, buy it!!

I work all day exposed to the Sun and this hat is very comfortable and the shade that provides covers all my face and part of my neck and chest. It also can be folded and put in a backpack without loose the form (thats a plus). The only thing that I didnt like and thats why I am giving it 4 stars its because is more thin than I expected and I wanted to block the sunlight completely. I was thinking to put a fabric underneath to resolve this problem.

I've only worn it for walks outside so I gave it four stars. I'm waiting to go to the beach to see how it holds up to that sun and wind. So far so good, covers my whole face, looks cute and, though I have a small head, it fits perfect. I bought the black and after wearing it I felt it held some heat under the brim- maybe should have went with a lighter color, but I was thinking about it getting dirty/ matching with everything I wear. Definitely recommend!

Loved the style and coverage of this hat. Was not too thrilled with the color. There were other colors but many multi color patterns that would clash with other patterns and black is cute but not exactly a cool (temp) choice and was not available in the simplest, cool, color that would go with everything, white. I would buy again if they came out with white. Came a little smashed and creased so I had to iron it out.
