These are elastic and work as claimed. For some reason they are much too long. 2/3 their length is about right to keep my ankles together. I tied a knot in one and it works well. Otherwise my feet separate quite a bit, and I assume they would fall off also.

I thought that these inexpensive rubber ankle straps wouldn't be good enough for my swimming workout, by the way, the other swimmers around me expressed the same thought like me, but I noticed that if I just wear the straps for freestyle arm stroke my feet goes down the floor so to bring them up my arm stroke have to perform double strength, adding to this I tried the floating feet block plus the straps in this way my feet are more stable, my upper and legs are at level.

If you're buying it as an ankle strap DONT. It's far too large to be used on the ankles. Purely false advertising. It's just a knee resistance band.

Feels like it’ll break easily

Too difficult for me to put on in water. Never ended up using. A waste for me. Use fins as floatation device and bean shaped item between legs.
