Really nice air conditioning, really quiet
Delivered with small amount of damage to the front cool coils. Small amount not diminishing the performance. Damage due to poor storage of power cable/Plug. As to installation, it well, considering that installation required none standard procedure. Operation is very good, had no problems getting it on WiFi and setting up operation via WiFi. Only one day of operation, but doing the job better then expected. It is extremely quiet and unobtrusive. Will update in the future. Unit I have is the 14k btu unit. Also just received the 6K Btu version and it is functioning as well as the bigger brother. Update: I also have the 6000 BTU unit now and all said about the 14K unit apply. One minor difference is that I hear some compressor noise but not objectively bad. More then it’s larger brother. Furnished pictures of self install first is 14K second is 6K outside view of both units same order.

Lots of cooling power.
Installation was a little bit easier than I expected given the weight of the unit. Things were helped by the fact that the cooling unit smoothly and easily slid out of the mounting frame. After installing the frame into the window opening the cooling unit slid easily back in - no snags or rough edges to catch on. All the parts were in the package and they all fit as they were supposed to. After plugging the unit in and turning on the power I let the unit run on its default settings while I set the air deflectors. It cooled the building fairly quickly. So far (about a month), I have not had any problems. A couple of things worth mentioning are: 1. When using the thermostat the unit's fan will turn on once every three minutes to sample the air to determine whether the compressor needs to turn on. It is a little be distracting at first but it is pretty quiet and I do not notice it now. The frequency of the noise from turning on every three minutes is why I gave it a 4 on noise, but it is a very quiet running machine. 2. The cord is rather short and comes out of the unit on the right side as you are facing it. You should measure carefully to make sure it will reach your outlet. I thought I had at least 6 inches to spare but really missed by about an inch. It is in a shop and I installed my own outlets with conduit along the walls so I was able to relocate the outlet by just enough to reach without doing any major work, but I was a little but lucky. 3. We have only had a couple of days above 80 degrees so far this year so i made my judgement, "lots of cooling power", based on the speed with which it brought the temp down. However, it is an all metal building so the temps would not be bearable inside without a/c, even in the low 80's and even though it is will insulated. If it turns out to be unable to handle temps in the 95-105 range I will update. So far, though, I have not used anything beyond the lowest settings so it seems likely that there will not be an issue. 4. The review tool asks to rate the energy efficiency. It is too soon to tell. I thought that leaving it blank might calculate as a zero in the averages so I gave it a 4. It might be a 5. update: (4/14/22) My shop is a 30x30 metal building and last summer I kept the temp set at 78 when I was out and down to 72 when I was using it. It cooled quickly and maintained a low temp easily. I have used energy saver and low fan speed almost exclusively. This is in Texas where the average high was around 95 or so for June through September. So I would say it has lots of cooling power. Also, I did not have a electric bill above 90 during that time, including shop lights and various machinery. The shop is well insulated but, still, I would say it is efficient.

So far I couldn't be happier
This is on the 6000 BTU model. So far it is wonderful. On low you can barely even hear it running. On medium the fan only uses 24 watts. When the compressor starts it slowly ramps up and I can barely hear it happening. This is the 6000 BTU model. It absolutely does adjust the amount of power it uses. Most to the time when the compressor is running is is only using around 150w. I have seen it go up to 400w for less than a minute and drop back down to 150w. Today It has used 0.4Kw in the last 13.1 hours set to 70 degrees. The app instigated easily with my Home Assistant using LG ThinQ. All adjustments are available over the app including scheduling. It has one time and daily. Can adjust temp, fan speed, mode, power. It also shows current power usare and past usage. All information is available on Home Assistant also. The remote also has all of the functions and causes the ac to make tones as you make changes. The tones are different for different functions which is nice. My only complaint so far is that the remote buttons and screen have no backlight and the buttons do not glow in the dark. The words on the buttons are also small and difficult to read. However I don't use the remote much anyway. My old window ac would sometimes wake me up when the compressor kicked on or off. This LG 6000 simply sounds like a very quiet fan whispering away. I have turned mine up to medium fan just so it would make a bit more soothing fan noise to help me sleep. It was not a problem to install by myself. It is a little heavier than the ac it replaced. It was the same height (12in) and was about 1 in wider th the old on. The LG 6000 is 19.5 in wide. It is still expensive but when there was a sale price on Amazon I got it. It arrived with no damage to the unit. Nothing was bent and all on the fins were in perfect condition. I also checked the serial number and mine was producen in May 2025. I have heard about quality issues in the 2023 models, but there seem to be no issues on mine yet. I did get the Asurion insurance just in case. So far it is wonderful. I will update if there are any changes 10/2025

Solid AC with Strong Performance, but Too Bulky for 8,000 BTU
I purchased the 8,000 BTU version of this air conditioner and was surprised to find that its exterior casing is exactly the same size as the 14,000 BTU model I recently helped my friend install. It seems like the manufacturer is using the same large housing for both units, which feels excessive and bulky for the smaller capacity. That was a bit disappointing. That said, the performance is excellent. It cools well, runs relatively quietly, and I especially like the built-in dehumidifier feature. Connecting it to Wi-Fi was quick and simple, even though the instructions don’t explain how to do it — luckily, I had no issues figuring it out. Be aware: it’s heavy — nearly 97 lbs — so take that into consideration if you’re lifting it yourself.
