One Touch Knife

I got this as a holiday gift for my mother, who suffers from debilitating arthritis in her hands. She has recently began to have problems with cutting meat, and was about to resort to plugging our electric knife in at the dining table to cut her steaks. This knife is small, but it has a pretty powerful motor! The only reason I would give it four stars instead of five is that (even before you put in the 6 AA batteries it requires) it is a pretty heavy knife to hold. Sharp and works as described, very sturdy!

Possibly it was me. However, I was unable to insert the blades for quite some time. Finally when the knife was completely assembled, it was not operational. Yes I used brand new AA batteries. Yes I tried 3 sets of new batteries and still no success in operation. All materials were cheaply made in my opinion. I tossed it in the garbage rather than pay return shipping charges. Extremely disappointed and am still looking for a cordless knife!

Well, this was the only cordless electric knife I could find/afford. Not the best, eats batteries alive, does and OK job of slicing meats. It's alright

I had one just like this previously and loved it. However, I am several years older and very much weaker and can no longer seem to push it together after putting in the batteries. (Yes, I have checked to be sure the batteries are inserted properly). I'm sure when I need it most I will be able to find someone to help me - I hope.

I didn't expect much because I had read the other reviews. But I thought it might at lest cut bread from my bread machine.The blade was to short and really hard to remove.It's really more of a cheap toy than a kitchen tool!

I brought 2 knives at the same time. One is still working quite well after almost a year; however, the other one had problems right out of the box. The Blades would not stay in the motor unit. I thought it was the blades so I tried them in the good unit and they held firmly in place. So now i have one motor unit with 2 sets of blades.

This item should be dropped from Amazon. No instructions were provided even though the package said "Before use please read instructions inside." How to open the knife to insert batteries was a major problem. There are lots of flat screwdriver marks all along lines on the unit where I tried to open the case. I even removed two screws thinking that is how to get to the battery box. No luck there either. I finally put on some rubber gloves to get a better grip on the end of the unit and it finally came apart. At least the battery loading diagram was printed on the case and that worked. The case is now scarred from screwdriver marks where attempts were made to locate the battery compartment. The knife part may work just fine but I am disappointed that the machine came without instructions on where to open the case. Also, taking off the rear part of the unit to get to the battery compartment requires for more strength than needed if a better way of opening it were part of the design.

Piece of crap. Battery cover won't even keep batteries in. Battery contact springs are so strong it blows the batteries acres the room. Cover won't stay on. Had to duct tape cover on. Knife isn't worth the cheap price at all
