Are they true to size? I wear a size 14

I wear size 14 too, and have wide feet. These are the only footwear on Amazon I've ever gotten that was exactly true to size. Get your exact size.

Do rocks and sand get inside?

Yes sand, not rocks. I was really disappointed in that part. This is less of a shoe and more of a sole that's held together by mesh. BUT the sole was really protective so I guess it did what I wanted.

Will these want to come off of your foot when kicking in water?

No they will stay on pretty good. Just use the adjustable shoe string and tighten it up and it should stay on your feet. I was at a water park for 3 days and it never got close to coming off.
