Great game for all the family. Son wanted it and was not disappointed. Easy instructions and fun to play. Bit expensive for the original so this was a good compromise.

Picked this up for a road trip, and it was a hit. Super easy to learn, and the rounds are quick—great for killing time. The cards are hilarious, and it’s small enough to toss in a bag. Definitely a fun game for all ages.

Great fun and makes a change firm normal cards or Uno when family come round. Good quality cards too.

This was purchased as a travel game for a family of 4 with children of ages 5 and 9.On opening the box the children were excited by the art work on the cards as they looked appealing and fun. We looked through the cards and tried to work out what each meant. The cards themselves are well made and of a strong material.The rules were easy to understand and play began almost immediately.The game was quick, I would say a round can last between 15 and 30 minutes. It was fun and we enjoyed the competitive element when putting the exploding kitten back in a selected place so that you can choose who will explode next.Our 5 year old needed help to access this game as the cards were a little wordy and lots of rules to learn. However, our 9 year old picked it up really quickly and was able to play themselves.

brilliant game, this is a smaller travel version, kids ( aged 8 and 9) learnt to play it fairly quickly, as a family we have a great time on holiday with this game and will be buying the full version soon. the game doesnt last to long so kids dont get distracted or bored

As a family who love playing games together, I expected a bit more from this game, especially as we really love Exploding Kittens.It's very easy to learn and play, but as a family, we definitely don't seem to have the hilarious shouty fun it describes. Maybe this is because we only have 4 players? Let me explain....The game itself is a turn based game, to which players frantically search for a word or phrase beginning with one of the 3 letters on the upturned card. There are category cards and words must match the selected category of that particular round.Each round lasts 60 seconds and teams take turns to give a word - a correct word or phrase wins the card and a new letter card is turned. This continues until the 60 seconds are up.The game is aimed at 8 years and over, but my 9 year old daughter struggles to find words in certain categories - they go well over her head. Sometimes it's quite difficult thinking of a word beginning with certain letters and so there's not exactly any shouting once one is found, but more relief.To be honest, I think it would be better played in bigger teams, of ages 11+, this way there's more competition and more chance of amusing words and phrases being given.The game idea is really good, but as a family game, sadly for me, it just falls a bit short.
