Very good on dry skin. Seems to aid healing after I bang my hand or arm and knock a chunk of skin loose.

We have been buying this product for a few years now. We had a hard time finding it for a few weeks and then my husband found it at a different Target location. We opened it and it was grainy and harsh to rub in and spread.. nothing like the other jars we have purchased in the past. Thinking it was definitely defective, I purchased the bigger size on Amazon. We received it a few days ago and it is EXACTLY THE SAME TEXTURE AS THE ONE WE JUST BOUGHT. Its awful!! There must be a formal change or something because this Shea Butter is absolute crap!!

I would like to say to those complaining of consistency issues. I’ve ordered this exact product from several places and its standard to come grainy due to temperature changes while shipping. A quick simple fix is literally melting it by placing in a bowl of hot water then freezing for 10-15 mins. I loveeeee this stuff and don’t mind having to melt it to get the smooth silky consistency I like.

I ordered this a few times, because it did help calm my eczema, but much of it landed on my clothing or the floor because it was simply too lumpy - like soft asbestos! It has to be mixed better and I'd recommend using organic Jojoba oil, Rosehip Oil and Black Currant Seed Oil churned in it (with more of the Jojoba than the other two) and blend it better. This is a great aid to my skin when I do it, but frankly mixing it is simply too much work!

I have been ordering this product for the last 3 years. Sometimes it comes smooth, and sometimes it has those round particles. I just know that any natural product may solidify creating different texture, so all I do is warm it up in the steamer and when it solidifies again it has a smooth texture.Shea butter is always very thick so while it is melted in the steamer, I add some coconut oil and/or avocado oil. If you want a nice face/body moisturizer then add some essential oils and and vitamin C . I have dry skin and I live in the desert so this became my perfect solution.I took a star away only because of texture inconsistency: it arrives either smooth (so I do not have to heat it up) or not smooth (so I have to do extra step to heat it).

This is the only lotion I’ve purchased more than one or two times. I absolutely love it! I’m on my 5th jar in the last couple years. It’s really thick and a little goes a long way! A must have for dry Colorado skin!

This stuff is now what I was expecting. I guess I should've paid more attention to the details of the consistency
