Man, this set is awesome! At big box home improvement stores these bits that can countersink through metal are going for $12 and up a piece! This was a total no-brainer cost-wise, and they are very high-quality. I’m building our home right now and have to countersink in both wood and metal brackets on a daily basis and this set has made life wonderful for me with my countersinking needs. Sweet little tidy box it comes in. Love it. Irwin you guys are good!

Have had these for a while now and have served their purpose well. Although i have no idea why one individual destroyed the efficacy of their cam retainer plate for counter sunk screws. Lmao as his camshaft ejects itself from the block, as counter sunk fasteners are NOT stronger than conventionally headed bolts. After much use are still just as sharp as the day they arrived, although i ALWAYS use a cutting/tapping lube. Overall have had great results with Irwin products. Cheers

Just what I needed for countersinking and making screws flush with the surface, or one makes pretty decent quality tools and equipment

Irwin makes good stuff. I already have a couple of sets of pliers and levels. What I like about these countersinks is that you don't have to drill a hole ahead of it to get your countersink. I have some countersinks that have a drill bit ahead of them and, most of the time, that's fine but sometimes you can drill too far. I could remove the drill bit from the countersink but that's a bit of a pain, tiny allen wrench and all and then you have to put it back on. This is handy to just grab one of these to make your countersink.

Used these on unistrut. They worked perfectly and didnt dull at all after making over 2 dozen countersinks. Very Impressed.

Bought without a real expectation of them lasting very long due to the price, but I've been impressed. The 3/4" has run over a dozen holes in mild steel now for counter sunk bolts and still cuts like new. Rigidity helps a lot to eliminate chatter due to the cutter engagement on the larger sizes. Overall, I've been impressed and will buy again when I need to.

Very good quality countersink bits

I wanted a good countersink set primarily for a red/white oak project. I was concerned my existing less expensive countersinks would tear out the screw holes. I set these up in my drill press and they worked very well. They are sharp and solid - I expect they will last quite some time for my use (general homeowner projects - not a commercial woodworker). I thought the price was very good given the number of pieces in the set, and the box keeps them nicely together.

Well made and packaging is great for long term storage (so you don't lose them) . Would buy again
