Exceeded expectations!
It’s a great cream for deep tissue work. I had used the original year ago and thought this one was it until after I got it. I realized it was a different one and decided to give it a try. It was as good and maybe even a bit better than the original. I would say this one smells better than the original at least what I remember. I highly recommend this item for deep tissue massage and even lighter therapeutic or lymphatic massage. The texture feels good on both the hands and the skin and it gives a good amount of friction when working the muscles with the ideal amount of glide to really get into the tissue.

won't use anything else! Love it
I love this stuff. I've been a massage therapist for 13 years and this has been my favorite massage product. It gives perfect glide for deep tissue and relaxation massages and also soaks in by the end of the massage so the client doesn't feel greasy. It also washes out of sheets perfectly so there is never any rancid smelling sheets from oil build up. Its also great that there are no nut oils so I don't have to worry about allergies.

Overall Best Massage Therapist Creme for Deep tissue
I love how this creme creates the perfect glide with the right amount used on clients. I can’t count how many times I’ve had to take my hands and literally wipe off excess product because it’s too greasy or oily. I believe that comes with experience what kind massage you perform and how much you really need, instead of wasting creme. Nevertheless, awesome creme, compared to Fractioned Coconut oil and Bon Vital Complete versions.Hopes this helps out any therapist trying find that happy medium for Swedish, deep, and sports. The Bon vital Muscle is great too, as I use for specific areas.

Scent is too strong
I've purchased this cream many times in the past and the scent was very light, but this time it is way too strong, to the point of giving me a headache. I have many clients who have scent allergies and I definitely won't be able to use this cream on them. I don't want to waste a gallon of cream, so I'll suffer with it, but I won't purchase this one again. I do like the other massage cream they make.

Not a professional - but now we can pretend
I am a chronic pain patient. Nothing helps more than human touch (it helps that she's brilliant, incredibly beautiful and been married to me for 38 years). Sometimes all you can handle is light effleurages, the kind I did four times while she was in labor. Sometimes you want her to push with everything she's got and that still isn't enough. The real problem has been finding something that doesn't feel like you're trying to start a fire by friction. Forget everything that starts "... and massage...." After trying several true oils (yuck), lotions (hmm) and creams (ahh) I finally discovered this at a reasonable price. What's important is the "glide". This doesn't become glue after the initial push and it doesn't dry out in 10 seconds.I noticed that some didn't like the scent. I would label this "unscented" which does not mean "no aroma", it's just that it doesn't appear to contain a perfuming agent. It's not terribly strong, so I would suggest that if you're looking for aromatherapy or romance, add whatever you want to try in little batches. Within moments of application, I had difficulty discerning any aroma at all and, as a redhead, I am very sensitive to any scent, especially if it packs potential allergens (for further explanation read "The Roots of Desire" and "What the Nose Knows").Update- After trying the 8 oz tube I ordered a half gallon. I know what some people meant by being displeased by the aroma. I mentioned this in a question to the seller. Their response was to immediately issue a replacement at no charge, including pick up of the offending product. The replacement arrived on Monday after my Saturday evening question. I put the "bad" batch in the shipping box which UPS picked up on Tuesday. That, for other sellers out there, is what creates loyal customers!Thank you!

Great product!!!
Just like most of the review said, this product really works well. My 86-year-old mother has some kind of skin condition that makes her very itchy and we tried all kinds of expensive body lotion products without much success. This one worked almost instantly and she hasn’t had any problems since. We also bought the regular Vanicream for the rest of her body since it was mainly her back and thighs that were causing her distress.

Try before you buy the Deep Tissue creme, potentially weird smell! Returned 8 oz tube.
Amazon listing shows coconut, therapeutic, and deep tissue creme as different options in the same listing! Some of the good reviews might not be for the product you want. I'm reviewing the Deep Tissue with Jojoba creme.I don't know if this creme comes in inconsistent batches, or if it has a smell that only some people are sensitive to. While there are tons of good reviews, the unfavorable reviews here and on massagewarehouse mention a non-rancid but unpleasant odor like: "stinky foot", "yogurt", "salty", "plastic". I concur with the negative reviews about the smell. The "off" odor comes on upon initial application, and after a few seconds that unpleasant note fades and you are left with a "regular" fragrance that, say, biotone dual purpose also has. I asked another massage therapist to smell this creme, and she said "yogurt". I had to return the tube. I personally strongly dislike the odor, and I can't take the chance that a client will either be offended by it, or else think that it is rancid or expired.I tend to be sensitive to odors, but I have used: biotone dual purpose creme, Bon Vital complete creme, BV organica lotion, BV therapeutic oil with olive oil (that one smelled too much like cooking olive oil, but at least that's explainable), and biotone muscle and joint with arnica (didn't love that smell either... a bit musty). And of course my fave, pure jojoba. Love them or not, I used all those lubricants. Never had to return one till this one. That said, the creme works fine as far as glide. But the smell!
