Smooth, Powerful Iron — Great Results Every Time
I’m really happy with this Russell Hobbs steam iron! The copper‑infused soleplate glides effortlessly over fabric and makes ironing so much quicker and smoother. The steam output is strong and consistent, helping remove wrinkles easily. It heats up fast and feels well‑built and comfortable to use. Great quality for the price — definitely makes laundry days easier!

Pretty good in all.
First of all, I don't really like ironing, I mean, who does? But,if you have seen my other half iron, you would understand why it's me who does the ironing. I have had expensive irons and cheap ones. This is in the middle class of irons. No, it doesn't say 'Good morning' and doffs one's Trilby, no, I mean it's as a price point, somewhere in the middle. Like most of the irons I have had, I am guessing it will give up after a while from limescale, something we have to live with being in That, There, Laaandon. Occasionally, if you are on the more aggressive side or iron with great enthusiasm, the iron does like to leak a bit through parts that one can only assume should not be leaking water. These are, though, only when rushing, when ironing takes place, when you're too heavy-handed with how fast you change direction, or simply when your passes are too fast. But, if you are of the 'take your time in front of the telly' type of person then this iron will probably suit. It's fast to warm up, which is ace if you only want a quick spruce up before going out out. Or just out. Heat levels are consistent when set and having an auto off is rather useful. Price is quite good, really, for what it is. It's an iron ffs at the end of the day and not a bad one.

Do not buy this iron
I have had this iron for 5 months now. It is utterly dreadful. You can’t seem to regulate the heat properly and frequently i have no idea what the setting is even on. It seems to have a mind of its own and the heating element is all over the place. I have already ruined three items it has burnt. Despite my iron being clean - even when you manage to happen upon the correct temperature it does not glide over the clothing, but instead feels like you are rubbing a brillo pad over a sheet. Mine is now going in the bin! Extremely Poor iron.

As above, iron leaks
Good iron but when finished empty all the water out as it leaks if left stood up and storing on its base.

Lightweight steam iron with 3 metre cord
Our existing iron lasted 8 years until the continuous steam failed, so just need exactly the same again! How difficult can that be? So after many hours of searching (including the local electrical superstore with a choice of 4 irons) and checking reviews we decided to try the Russell Hobbs Titanium Carbide. We were looking for a lightweight iron with a long cord, smooth action, and 2 buttons on the top of the handle for shot of steam and water spray, with slider for continuous steam flow. This iron ticks all the boxes and, on first use, scores extremely well. There are no negative comments at this time, except that it is very difficult to check the water level. Let's hope it lasts as long as our old one (of a different make). At least there's a 3 year guarantee.
