I purchased this salmon treat to use as a food topper for my picky eater. Not every day but when he’s feeling particular. The pieces are actually fairly large, much bigger than I expected. I was honestly thinking they’d be small cubes. I will break a piece in half, or depending on the chunk size it might be less, and crumble it up with my fingers and sprinkle on my 2 dogs food bowls. I’ve found I can’t give pieces to them that still have the salmon skin on because both dogs are so flipping excited for this delicious flavor neither of them want to chew them. Sprinkling works perfectly, it crumbles super easily and as long as the flavor is on the food it all gets eaten, which I’m grateful for! My one dog is NOT a picky eater, but I don’t want to leave him out of the action just because his brother is being picky. Holy moly did they inhale their food! Definitely going to continue using for an occasional topper. READ the directions for servings.I love that this is one ingredient and fillers are excluded from the recipe. And even better is the fact that my dogs love it!

Our terrier loves this, we also give him the badlands treats. Our pup loves the salmon flavored.

Our dog tolerates it but does not love it. We feel it is healthier many other products so we have continued to feed our dog Bad Land Ranch products. It is super expensive however.

My dog really loves these treats. I thought they were a complete food when I ordered them, but the bag said they are intended as treats only.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I went looking for harder dog treats between 10mm and 15mm in size, for use in a automatic dog treat thrower. These seemed to fit the bill, but it turned out they don't. I got the salmon version, and the outer fish skin would be outside the required size range. I ended up cutting some of these up with scissors, but what a pain. That also causes small crums due to the freeze-dried nature (as one might expect).Here's the deal. My boy Max likes these just fine. No issues there.I will look elsewhere for small, more consistently-sized treats. (Going to give - Blue Buffalo Blue Bits a shot next.)

My dogs are super chewers and love these! Do monitor them chewing these though. Small pieces can be dangerously choking hazards. However. Have noticed my Golden Retriever does vomit after gnawing on this. The coating smells and apparently upsets her stomach. She loves to chew on these though.
