Hyper Pet Dura-Squeaks Bone Dog Toy

Don't be a bad puppy mama like me. After moving into a new house surrounded by trees, my three year old rescue pup suddenly found an interest in playing fetch. She had one large stick in particular that she loved...until it did her wrong...She was running with the stick, and one end hit the ground, sending the remaining end into the back of her throat, breaking the skin and scaring her half to death. A quick trip to the vet ensured that she was totally fine, but we did decide to leave the sticks behind. I bought this toy in the hopes that it would be a safer way for her to enjoy her new found desire to play fetch.This toy is fun, and so far very durable. She loves to chase it, but it also has enough grip to be tugged when she wants. Save yourself and your pupper the terror of a stick in the throat, and get this stick toy instead...

My Shepherd LOVES this toy. It's his favorite. I'd previously purchased one elsewhere and he played with it for a year and it stood up to him for that entire time. We're talking about a dog that eats beef femurs like they're chewing gum. That says something about the durability of these toys. What they toy could not withstand was my rotten kids. They got tired of the dog squeaking it, so they poked a pen though the squeaker. The dog was crushed. He'd wander around with it in his mouth frantically trying to get a sound out of it before he'd drop it, then flop down next to it with a huge dejected sigh. It broke my heart so I bought him another. You could see how happy he was when the new one arrived. Hopefully your dog will enjoy it too.

My dog destroyed this in less than 10 minutes. Yes, he's a big guy (90 pounds of pit bull) and yes, he's a chewing machine (even Extreme Kongs eventually get torn up, although that takes months), but I expected better from something advertised as durable. Plus, we had one of these we purchased over a year ago that lasted much longer. Not sure what's different, but he's torn through two of the new ones like they're made of paper.For the ~7 minutes it lasted, however, my dog loved this thing. It squeaks (although only when strongly torqued - not much by just chewing) and is fun to toss and tug. I'd actually strongly recommend it if your dog isn't dead set on sheer distraction. Sadly, this is definitely not the right toy for power chewers.

I got 2 of these for my 40 lb dog who’s not a big power chewer. I almost didn’t buy after reading the other reviews of how it doesn’t last. Well...knew I should’ve listened! The durability on these were horrible. My dog was so excited for it; especially when it squeaked. After not even 5 mins, he already bit off the end and ruined the squeaker. After a few more minutes, half was chewed off in pieces. What a huge disappointment and waste of money. Unless you have a small dog who just gnaws, I do not recommend these.

Hope Smasher! This dog toy was listed as a durable toy. Lies! Our 20-pound Shiba Inu destroyed the toy within 5 minutes. Was so hopeful that this toy could have been “the one”. But, noooo, hope was crushed to bits. Not sure where 5-star reviews are coming from. I can only think that these dogs don’t have teeth. Perhaps these dogs lack jaw strength or have iron deficiencies. Maybe the dog owners posting high praises are nicer than yours truly. Totally understand that $7.99 is not top dollar. But to pay for a misadvertised toy that was destroyed faster than Godzilla decimated Tokyo is disheartening. It’s entirely possible that the item, just the one we received, could have a defect. Please consider this when you read this post (insert eye roll). A refund will be requested. I can only hope the supplier is located in the United States and there won’t be negotiations for a lower refund amount.

In the past few years we have purchased 6 or these toys for our 'chew-happy' dog. The first 5 each lasted several months and we only replace them because they get so icky looking. She has never, ever torn one open before. This newest one is only 3 weeks old and she has torn off the end and yanked out the squeaker. Apparently this is not the same materials it was previously made from. It is softer and not good. We certainly don't want her swallowing pieces of green plastic or that squeaker which could get lodged in her throat. Makes me sad. Now we have to find another sturdy chew toy that is safe for our dog.

Was very excited and hopeful that this toy would hold up to the durability that it is advertised with, and my Shepard mix was ecstatic when he saw his new toy. However, it lasted five minutes before I stopped hearing the squeaking - and came to find that my dog chewed up the top of the stick. FIVE MINUTES! I wish I were exaggerating! I'm super bummed because I passed up on buying a Kong product due to the price and promise of it's durability. While I am not normally the type to leave negative reviews, I want it to be known that if your dog is a super chewer, you may end up disappointed too.

We have 4 Min pins (all roughly 20 lb's.) and one just loves to chase the toy. For some reason she won't play with a ball, may be it bounces too much for her, but loves her stick type toys. We bought this for her. Surprise! One of the other dogs (usually not a toy lover) has grabbed it and won't put it down, so the other one is back to her old chewed up toy... needless to say we may have to buy another one! We've had it a few days and it is very sturdy. No sign that it will get chewed up soon. Good for a dog of 20 pounds, a bigger dog might chew it up. It is a stiff rubbery plastic, squeaks but not often, since it is so hard she does not chew hard enough to make it squeak every time. Other wise it might get on my nerves. So far the kids are happy with this one...

- quick shipping- nice squeak that the dogs loved- it seemed to be of high quality and I thought it would be fairly durable but the dogs still chewed the squeaker end off within a few days- the dogs love it and continue to play with it, even if it's mangled

I bought this for my Alaskan malamute who destroys everything in her path because the reviews said it was durable. The toy itself seems to be, and she likes how it bounces. She didn't eat through the plastic but she killed the squeaker in 10 minutes. It popped out of the little tube it is encased in and is floating free in the toy. There is no way to put it back in without destroying the toy. Disappointing because the squeaker is why I bought it.

My dog LOVES squeaky toys, but we always run into an issue where she chews out the squeaker within 30 minutes of getting a new toy. NOT THIS TIME! This squeaker stick is super durable and she hasn't been able to chew through it after several weeks with it. Very happy with this purchase!PROS- Ultra durable.CONS- It's very rigid so small dogs may have a difficult time making it squeak, I recommend at least for medium-large dogs only.
