Ubiquiti U6+ AP WiFi6 1xGbE PoE 2x2 Dual

Been using these access points for a couple months now and they are working flawlessly. I got these to replace some early generation UniFi Access points that would no longer update. I ended up getting the Ubiquiti Switch and Gateway as part of upgrade. With all the parts together, it is a pretty sweet setup. The light on the device is set to a nice level and is not obnoxious at night in a dark hallway. It is a little bigger than a standard smoke detector, though not as tall. Looks is pretty nice. They are not the cheapest access points but they seem to be the best.

Worked exactly as expected. New in box. Powered up and adopted with my dream machine pro. Couldn’t have been an easier setup. I am a networking professional though so that might influence my judgement. You do need to understand a little bit of what you’re doing. Don’t order this if you’re not familiar with networking concepts. You don’t need to know iOS commands but you do need to setup a network using a gui.

If you have a home network setup like I do, then this access point is a must. Product works well with my setup and it was easy to setup. Connectivity reaches very far, from the inside of my house to the mailbox where i have a solar powered camera and it still reaches to give it wifi signal. The speed is good as well up to a gig so I definitely recommend.

These APs are quality made and robust. Easy to mount and easily controlled within Ubiquity’s controller. Using the coverage feature in Inner Space is awesome and helps to identify proper placement assuming you’ve built your floor plan The blue LED reminds me of the kids movie Wall-E and the computer that tried to take over the space ship. It’s pretty cool looking. The only thing I would suggest for improvement however is that LED. Currently it can only be turned on or off manually. Would be nice if they created a timed off feature for the LED without having to log in to your network to turn it off at night. That thing is pretty bright at night and depending on where you place it, can be disturbing.

I liked everything but the mounting bracket. I did get it mounted but it was a pain. Overall its a good AP. Its covering 1500sqft from the second floor to the basement. Lowest bar I've seen was 4. Speeds in range of 500-700mbps. I am self hosting the Unifi controller as I run pfsense on a DIY router. So in order to adopt this device you have manual point to the controller. Run something like putty. Connect to its IP and login into the device to do a manual set-inform. A few seconds later the controller will see it. At this point you configure the AP/WIFI in Unifi. All in all it took 10 minutes to configure. Time will tell if I need another one. But for the price. I like it.

These were super easy to instal and set up. The ubiquiti app makes managing the network fluid. I set up a wiresless network in my 15,000 sqft warehouse using these and other Ubiquiti products with zero experience. took about 4 hours.

What a difference this made to my home network. Everything works now!

Ubiquiti/UniFi devices communicate well with each other. They just work. I mounted this device on the ceiling. Connected to UniFi device and was adopted immediately. I went with the U6+ because of my small home/office network needs. Nothing fancy. Clean and matches white ceiling. Pretty blue light can be turned off. If I ever have over 300 wireless devices connected to this, there is something seriously wrong.

I own a number of Unifi devices, switches, routers, and access points. I replaced an older AP with this one, and there were no surprises... it adopted within minutes, took on all the settings, and really was about a 10 minute job to replace the older one, all-in. All good, and it is working just fine, as I expected it would.

Consigliatissimo a chi cerca un access point professionale, prestante e facile da integrare!

Ya tenía uno de hace unos años, funcionando las 24h del dia, sin dar ningún problema, ni cortes de enlaces, velocidad de acceso alta. El único problema que le he encontrado a éste es que la fonciguración inicial es un poco liada, no es precisamente nada intuitiva, como tampoco cambiar los parámetros de la red. Una vez superado este escollo, después de resetear varias veces a configuración de fábrica porque no es nada intuitiva la conexión, funciona perfectamente y estable. Uno solo estratégicamente situado cubr etodo el piso.
