Keeps you fresh and dry
I’ve used carpe for several months and I’ve tried a few of the scents, my favorite being coconut vanilla. Do not expect this to be like your typical antiperspirant or deodorant because it works to reduce odor causing bacteria rather than just masking it. I realized that it also works better the longer you use it. One time I was at military training and I forgot to apply it one afternoon. To my surprise after standing in the heat I was still fresh. Some pro tips, do not apply this like regular deodorant, a very small amount goes a long way. Think of it as a balm or lotion, a tiny amount is highly effective. My one concern is that it does get white on your garments but realizing you don’t need that much of it mitigates this quite a bit. It recommends applying at bedtime which will cut it down more but as a gym rat I’m showering too much for that to be possible. It can be sensitive to high heat so if you are traveling with it in extreme conditions just keep it upright in your bag. Overall this product is worth the cost and you’ll quickly realize it’s not like any other deodorant you’ve used.

Great results, light coconut scent, easy to overuse.
This deodorant actually works great, but unless you enjoy gumming up the stick and wasting product, shave or trim your pits. It’s not meant to battle a rainforest. I just wish the coconut scent were stronger and stuck around longer. I want to smell like I just got back from vacation, not like I walked past someone who did. I was ready to gripe about the price, but then I read reviews from people who only use it once a day. If that’s all it takes, maybe it’s not expensive, it’s just confident. I’ll test that theory before I complain. New users, take note: you do NOT need to slather this stuff on like frosting a cake. A swipe or two and you’re golden. Overall, it’s a damn good deodorant. If price weren’t an issue, I’d toss every other stick I own and make this my forever pit partner.

HARD PASS! Read why....
I’m simply NOT a fan. I prefer Lume—and here’s why! First off, the packaging is cheap. For how much you pay and how little product you get, the least they could do is put it in a higher-quality container. I’ve had one HS (Hidradenitis Suppurativa) flare in my life, caused by a cheap deodorant container that scratched my armpit and led to a horrific abscess. Carpe’s container is worse. The first swipe cut me, so I had to apply it with my fingers—which left them sticky and gross. And it wasn’t just one defective stick; every single one I tried had the same sharp, scratchy applicator. For the price, this is a huge oversight. Less money should be spent on over-the-top, TERRIBLE marketing and more on creating a functional product. Performance: I gave Carpe a fair chance, using it exactly as directed for, and used the whole tube. Honestly? I hate it. It leaves a grimy film on your skin that never feels dry. My armpits felt wet, slimy, and itchy all day. While it may slightly reduce sweat, the tradeoff is feeling gross. To me, that defeats the purpose. As a deodorant, it sort of works. As an antiperspirant? Not convincing. Lume, by comparison, keeps me dry for over 3 days, feels much nicer on the skin, and comes in better packaging. Even my old Secret solid stick (or Dollar Tree knockoffs!) performs better without scratching me or ruining my clothes. Residue & Staining: Carpe left marks on my clothes that didn’t wash out, another major fail for something in this price range. Scent: The coconut fragrance? It instantly took me back to the 90s Coconut Suave shampoo. While that’s nostalgic for some, I don’t want to smell like high school all day. Final verdict: HARD PASS. Save your money and get literally anything else—Lume, Secret, or even the $1.25 generics at Dollar Tree. They work better, feel better, and won’t cut your skin.

It actually works!
It's great. No more sweat stains and odor. Although it's a bit pricey, it works.
