Great aid to meditation.
I purchased this cushion because I have trouble maintaining a comfortable pose when meditating. Using a kneeling bench sends my feet to sleep, and I was experiencing back pain when sitting on a normal cushion or just on the floor. I have already been able to double my sitting time using this cushion with no problems. It is comfortable, a good size, and well made. It is firm enough to support you, but flexible enough to allow you to find your own comfortable posture, it doesn't try to force you into a one-size-fits-all pose. I can now concentrate on my meditation, rather than my aching back! I would highly recommended this cushion.

Money well spent
I am new to meditation but my daily practise which I am trying to increase timewise, is always curtailed, as I begin to get uncomfortable and fidgety after just five minutes. I have tried to ignore it, but in the end I just have to stop. I have today received this cushion and from the moment I tried it, I felt like a different person. It is firm, encourages good posture (I always found myself leaning forward) and for me is so right. Nothng hurts! I am five feet tall and weigh 9 stone and for me it is perfect. I had no idea what type of cushion would be beneficial for me but Calming Breath info, and its many five star reviews, encouraged me to buy this particular cushion. I am glad I did. I would certainly buy another if needed, without hesitation.

Brilliant cushion. I'm sitting Burmese style on it for ...
Brilliant cushion. I'm sitting Burmese style on it for up to 45 minutes at a time, which is a big improvement on my attempts to sit on normal cushions and blankets. Patience is required if you have tight hips like me; I've been sitting twice a day for a couple of weeks and my hips seem to be gradually opening up.It's not solved all my 'problems' with sitting cross-legged - I still get some pins and needles and pain in my legs - but I didn't expect it to. And ultimately watching these pains arise and pass away can be a powerful place in practice.Build quality is excellent.

I love this zafu
I love this zafu. It's a much more sensible shape than the traditional round one I've used for years, as there's a space for your feet to fit into, and it's also a little less hard and unforgiving, so it makes for freedom from pins and needles (so far!), while still giving good support. It feels very comfortable, and I would recommend it if you sit, rather than kneel. Well done, Calming Breath!I also use it in conjunction with their zabuton meditation mat, and it's a winning combination, giving great protection and comfort to the knees. It was expensive to buy both, but I'm glad I did. It's worth it.I bought black; it's what I'm used to, and I find it pleasing.

Taking on an 8-day meditation retreat. Sitting for 8 hours every day.
Comfortable and perfect height. So I'm a guy, I weigh around 90kg, reasonable flexibility, meaning I can sit crosslegged without getting pain in my hips, and it's perfect. I have tested it and will be taking it on an 8-day vipassana meditation retreat. I would recommend this to anyone regardless of their size and weight as its shape gives support and comfort the back of the thigh when sitting. It will serve you well.

Love this cushion
Love this cushion. These are the ones that are used at my mindfulness class for meditation and I wanted one to use myself at home. It's very sturdy and well made and of good quality. I think I shall treat myself to one of the square flat cushions that go under it, as that will make it easier on my ankles.

For me, a lot better than a standard size crescent cushions.
I have tried standard size crescent cushions and my legs still go to sleep or painful after a couple of minutes. So a friend recommend this wider and longer one from Calming Breath which is a lot better. I used it for a whole yoga retreat weekend and was able to sit ok for 10-20 minutes without need to swap the forward leg etc. It would have been 5 stars but I being heavier than many, it a little hard for me but all crescent cushions are meant lift and slightly tilt the pelvis without really giving. I stuck with it as these cushions are new to me and soon found the correct & a lot more comfortable way of sitting.

Calming breath cresent meditaion cushion
Its difficult to make a review on a product which effectively you spend time on. i would say after a year you are confident to give a positive review or not but I have had the crescent cushion for about a month now and I have previously used reconsituted foam blocks. This product is far superior and gives you a straight back when seated. my meditations last for 30 minutes I feel that I could go on longer with this product. I was hoping for more slope from the back to the legs as there is a gental incline in the cushion but thats not a serious issue. Great product well made. a cushion for life
