The additional flash is a game changer
I had the V1c version before purchasing the V1c Pro version. I uploaded a few photos for comparison. The one on the left is the V1c, and the one on the right is the V1c Pro. They look mostly the same without the additional flash attachment. The battery is interchangeable between the V1c and V1c Pro. I love the USB-C battery charging port, which means I can bring one less charger on my trips. The USB-C battery is a little bit smaller, but the difference isn't significant. The extra flash light add-on in the front is the game changer! Before, I'd have to juggle my camera setup and a separate flashlight to get the multi-directional lighting I wanted. It was a hassle trying to keep the main flash and the extra one in sync. Now, this add-on frees up my hand, letting me focus on composition. I usually use the add-on to light the subject directly, while bouncing the main flash off a wall for softer, more diffused light.Keep in mind that the add-on flash isn't super powerful, but that's actually ideal for direct subject lighting – you don't want to overpower the scene. One limitation is that it's tricky to attach accessories to the add-on; the standard Godox accessories are really designed for the round V1 head. Also, I haven't fully explored how ETTL works with the add-on, but I'm sure a bit of time with the manual will sort that out.

A winner
For people who have been doing photography for a while it’s interesting that the controls on the flash haven’t really seem to change for about 40 years. Same buttons same orientation same functions. And it’s funny because the controls are pretty much laid out the same on this unit as well but they did finally update the screen. After decades of having the same screen on the back of the flash they finally made the output a little more easy to read with better functionality and I really appreciate that. The fit and finish on this is typical of Godox quality which is to say it’s extremely well-built and looks very fine and professional. The unit has a nice feel to it with just the right weight that you want from my flash. Not too heavy but not so light that it feels cheap. And you get quite a bit of flash out of this pretty much what you would expect from a large flash unit from any of the big camera manufacturers, Who tend to put out extremely overpriced speedlights for some reason. Flash is very bright at maximum power, recharges quickly.I have a lot of flash accessories and many of them are designed for the standard rectangular flash head and so they will not work well with this, but I also have some other soft boxes and reflectors which actually perform much better when fitted around a round flash head. I think it’s a more natural thing to have a round reflector on the end of a flash. They are starting to become much more popular and it wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes the standard for a flash unit to be round rather than rectangular.Otherwise the functions are all very similar and this is an extremely high-quality flash at a very affordable price if you look at the competition. This particular unit is designed for Canon TTL. It’s important to note that in my decades of being a photographer I have never once met a professional who used flashes on anything other than manual mode. So it is not necessary to own a Canon to get good use and utility out of this. If for some reason you want to function that is not offered, there is a company that makes hot shoe adapters that convert the camera signals from one brand to another.I almost forgot to mention this has all the standard features like master and slave remote triggering 2.4 GHz wireless. The rechargeable batteries are amazing and allow for very fast recharge and mini mini flashes before you need to change batteries. The unit a come includes one batteries and a charger. One weird thing is that the until has a huge hole completely through the body. The top and bottom of the battery are actually the sides of the flash body.

Excellent flash for Canon cameras
GODOX has a rep for making excellent flashes at a very reasonable price. In actuality, they make a wide range of other products from microphones to monitors. They also make an extensive selection of lights for every use and at every price point. They do a lot more than make good entry level/mid range flashes. That said, there's probably no better 'bang for the buck' in camera flashes than Godox products. I've used countless Godox products (including flashes) and not long ago picked up this V1 Pro model for my Canon cameras.GODOX doesn't really 'reinvent the wheel' when it comes to flashes as much as they refine it. There's a reason that the speedlight form factor has stood the test of time. It just makes sense. What you can expect from GODOX is a product that works and works well. Battery life is excellent--you can get up to 100 continuous shots at full power. The batteries can be recharged with a VC26 charger or directly with a USB-C cable. It has a one stop toggle between TTL and manual mode. There's also an extra power port to attach to external power sources. Of course it supports 2.4G wireless transmission/reception so you can integrate it with your other GODOX lighting products. One unique touch is a detachable external flash component which makes the light even more versatile. I've used this flash frequently with a number of different Canon models and it works perfectly. There's a reason that GODOX has such a solid rep and that's evident in this first rate flash. Highly recommended!

Great For Beginners Diving Into Photography.✅ Excellent Features.✅ Extra “Gifts” Are Okay.😴
The media could not be loaded. As an artist, I have always taken an interest in photography. Currently I only do product shots for my artwork and products I sell, so I am pretty good with lighting and my current setup. One thing I don’t have is a flash attachment for my Canon t2i Camera. I’m a first time flash user and I was super excited to add this to my studio arsenal. There is a lot to learn with this attachment but there are lots of YouTube videos to help beginners like me. I own a few Godox products and I am quite pleased with the quality and you will see a lot of professionals and beginners using them. I’ll briefly go over some of the best features that I like in this kit. ✅WHAT I LIKE: ▪️Taking photos in the dark is my new fun thing to do. It is great for wedding receptions and night time shots. What I love about this flash is the LED light can be turned on continuously to light up your subjects in very dark situations. You can set it to either leave the light on while you take the picture or turn off before taking the shot. ▪️You get a nice carrying case for the flash attachment and the most important attachments; where it has side pockets for Flash foot and the SU Sub Flash. However, there is no place to put the charging cord and brick.😢 ▪️I had so much fun using the different diffusers. They give you blue, yellow, and white attachments. That being said, they aren’t my favourite to attach but more on that below. ▪️SU-1 Sub Flash is included and that alone is worth $70 give or take.😃 ▪️You get a VB30 battery and USB cable to charge the battery with the charging block. When it’s fully charge you can run approximately 500 full power shots with the battery. ▪️You can extend the life of the battery through a port in the front of the flash by purchasing PB960 Extended Flash Power Battery Pack Kit (sold separately on Amazon). This will give you 900 full power shots. ▪️There is a convenient Manual to TTL switch on the side of the flash. ▪️The V1 Pro can support consecutive flashes for up to 100 shots. This is a big difference compared to the older Godox model that could only do 30 consecutive shots. ▪️Instruction manual is clear and well written. ❌WHAT I DON’T LIKE: ▪️You can barely fit the flash attachment into the case, and you certainly won’t be able to add any of the other extra accessories other than the Flash Foot and the SU Sub Flash. I wish there was a case for the additional accessories that were included in the set. That being said, the other accessories are mediocre in quality so there is a good chance they will be left behind anyway. As a beginner, I found them interesting to play around with. ▪️You’ll want to purchase the Godox diffuser attachment that runs for about $16 on Amazon. Even though they provide some coloured diffusers in this kit, they don’t feel like they are OEM accessories. They don’t easily attach on or off, so I only half heartily attach them because they are a pain to remove if you put them on. Ideally these would be better if they were magnetic similar to the OEM diffuser. ▪️20 colour filters were included in the kit, but they are too opaque to use as filters over a lens. Several days had gone by when I figured there must be a protective film on the filters. I was right, but also wrong to think that peeling it off would make the filters transparent. I also attempted to remove a potential protective film on the other side when I noticed I was just scrapping off the painted side and there was nothing protecting it at all. It really isn’t clear in the product description what type of filters they are. Given the fact that they are not transparent, I think it’s safe to say they are filters for the flash. I didn’t find this overly impressive when I used them over my flash, but maybe I’m just salty because I was hoping for lens filters.😏 🦋OVERALL:You can spend hours playing with this flash and the accessories; there is so much more for me to learn. It is an excellent set for both beginners and professionals. As a beginner I recommend using ETTL mode on the flash, and with your camera settings on Av or A, depending on your camera. You’ll want to play around with the ISO settings to your liking. This will make things a bit more automatic. Most professional will want more control by switching to Manual mode on the flash. So far I am REALLY enjoying using the flash. Despite the underwhelming colour filters, I would absolutely recommend this kit—it’s pretty awesome! Five stars for the Flash and 3 stars for the extra “gift” accessories

A well worth investment, delivering greeat results &ease of use across a range of shooting scenarios
As a longtime user of Godox flashes, I recently upgraded to the V1 Pro C for my Canon camera, and it’s been a transformative experience. After using the V1 model, I was excited to see what the Pro C had to offer, and it hasn’t disappointed. Here’s a detailed look at my experience with this powerful speedlite:The V1 Pro C retains the classic round head design that I loved in the V1 but with several significant enhancements. The build quality feels robust and professional, thanks to its full metal hot shoe and a tactile, responsive dial. While the flash is a bit bulky, it's manageable, particularly when it's not mounted on-camera. The solid construction and user-friendly locking dial make it easy to mount securely. One of the standout features is the detachable SU-1 sub-flash. This addition has revolutionized my lighting setup, allowing for multi-directional lighting with ease. It’s perfect for adding fill light or catch light for eyes, adding versatility to my shoots. The main flash supports TTL, Manual, and Multi modes, offering flexibility across various shooting scenarios. The 1.3-second recycle time is impressive, and the flash can handle up to 100 continuous shots at full power, making it suitable for high-intensity sessions. The USB-C charging port is a thoughtful addition, reducing the need for multiple chargers.Navigating the menus is straightforward, with easy access to switch between TTL and Manual modes. The TCM (TTL Converted to Manual) feature simplifies manual adjustments based on TTL measurements. However, while the SU-1 sub-flash is a game changer, it doesn’t integrate seamlessly with all accessories, and I haven’t fully explored its ETTL capabilities yet. What I like includes the versatile lighting produced by the round head design, which is ideal for portraits and event photography. The LED modeling lamp is fantastic for previewing lighting setups, especially in low-light conditions. The power and battery life are also impressive, with up to 500 full-power flashes on a single charge and a fast recycle time that allows for quick successive shots. The TTL and HSS capabilities simplify exposure and creative lighting, even in bright sunlight, and the intuitive controls, clear LCD display, and magnetic accessory mount enhance usability. On the downside, the included color filters and diffusers are somewhat disappointing. The filters are opaque, and the diffusers are cumbersome to attach and remove, lacking the high-quality feel of the main flash unit. The carrying case is a bit cramped; while it fits the flash and essential components, it doesn’t accommodate all the extra accessories well. A better-organized case would be a welcome improvement. The Godox V1 Pro C is a powerful and versatile flash that significantly enhances my photography setup. Despite minor issues with accessories and the carrying case, its advanced features, such as the round head design, impressive battery life, and versatile lighting options, make it a valuable addition to any photographer’s kit. Whether you're a professional or an enthusiast, the V1 Pro C is well worth the investment, delivering excellent results and ease of use across a range of shooting scenarios.

Ridiculous value, use it for weddings
I got this specifically for weddings as thats what I photograph and I KNEW the Pro line was good, but I didnt know it was THIS good. For starters, when you first open the box, everything is packaged nicely, all the pieces are separated and well protected, I personally just put everything back inside the box it came in as its quite robust. The quality of this is unmatched, ive used so many other flash systems that suck, they lag, the overquality isnt great. This thing fits on my cannon SOLID and doesnt move, the flash is wicked bright and fills the room with light without being blinding. The flash is PERFECTLY times and it makes me look like a better photographer than I actually am...It charged up quick with the USB-C and THANK YOU FOR NOT USING THE MICRO-USB.It has 10 adjustable modelling lights which take some playing around with but once you find out what works best in the scenario then it works awesome.I like the simple toggle from TTL to manual mode, makes it so much easier when shooting on the go and working on getting different shots. Its powerful, the battery lasts a long time, the flash is crisp and BRIGHT without burning the retinas lol

The USB Type-C charging is super convenient, allowing me to keep the flash powered up on the go.The detachable SU-1 fill light is another charming and very useful feature. It’s great to have the flexibility to use the flash as both a bounce light and a fill light, depending on the situation.
