PITCH BLACK [DVD]

I was once a real Sci Fi fan but gradually lost my liking for this genre, as it decended into a form of, who could provide the best special effects, without any characters as such, but I caught this film on late night TV by chance, & got caught up into the theme! I have to admit, that Vin Deisel, was not on my list of favourite actors previously, but this part seems to fit him like a glove & I've now watched & enjoyed this film again without the breaks & carried on to view the later films, without losing my interest

Recently bought and saw Chronicles of Riddick , thought it a good idea to get Pitch Black .Did not disappoint , very good Sci-Fi action film , especially if you are a fan of Vin Diesel .Can't wait to see the latest release Riddick , as missed at cinema .For good action , I can fully recommend this , and for that matter any Vin Diesel film .

Bought the all Riddicks for my hubby to watch but then decided to watch them with him. Really enjoyed this first instalment, brilliant, just something to watch and enjoy. Couldn't wait to watch The Chronicles of Riddick and Riddick wasn't disappointed.

The reason this DVD was bought was for an extra short story called "Into Pitch Black". On the back of the cover it does say that it is on the disk, however, "Into Pitch Black is not on the disk at all. This is no fault of Amazon, the DVD specifically said that it was there, but it is not. I am otherwise perfectly happy with the DVD. It came in a secured package and works just fine.

This is a Truely Classic Movie & was well worth watching it has plenty of twists and turns as well as some suprise that you wouldn't expect Vin Diesel Plays Riddick perfectly and this is just a great all round movie for sci-fi fans & also non-scifi fans too as if mostly deals with basic human stuff so that helps make it a more universal movie.

ZOOOM SMASH KERPOW! Vin Diesel is on a spaceship with other people, and then it crashes, and then ROAR there are MONSTERS and maybe Vin Diesel is morally ambiguous, qui sait?I enjoyed it. Slightly dated. Science fiction with Vin Diesel is a bit predictable . . .

An excellent sci-fi film although the way it is filmed (going from very bright in the first half to, as it says, pitch black later) can be a bit off-putting.

As usual with Vin Diesel, plenty of drama and action. Keeps you on the edge of your seat! A good story.
