desertcart.com Blue and her pal Steve go looking for treasure, while helping your child learn logic and problem-solving skills. Review Steve, Blue and the gang are off on a fun-filled treasure hunt. Children can help look for the treasure by exploring the house, school and park, looking for clues that will lead them ultimately to the Land of Great Discovery. Blue is adorable, as usual, and the program's graphics and animation rivals that of the television show. As children travel about, they'll come across activities that involve helping the characters. For instance, they'll recycle trash, which is a sorting game and gather fall leaves according to color. The adventure has similarities to other Humongous products in that items are collected along the way that may prove useful later on. For example, kids have to obtain two Blue dollars in one part of the game in order to pay the admission price that gets them into another part of the program. In general, this is a likable CD. Some kids were turned off by the excessive talking at the beginning as too many instructions are given. The lengthy transitions between screens are also annoying, contributing to kids' waning interest. Still, for true Blue fans, this program will bring the Blue's Clues experience to the computer screen. Teaches: logic, memory Age Range: 3, 4, 5, 6 Copyright © 2000 Children's Software Revue -- From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"To find their way to The Land of Great Discovery, kids must conquer three different virtual treasure hunts by uncovering scrolls, objects and, of course, Blue's paw-printed clues. Challenges range from helping Orange Kitten name supply closet objects to helping Magenta complete a drawing to creating a bedtime story for Paprika. The pay off is in the Land of Great Discovery, where fun possibilities abound-including playing Blue's 100-level computer game inside the clubhouse. Loads of Blue's to-do's that young fans can love and learn from make this an excellent choice for little kids. (Don Oldenburg, Parents' Choice®, 2000) -- From Parents' Choice® Review: Fun for all ages!!! - I bought this game for my 4 year old sister for Christmas this year. She has been an avid fan of Blue's Clues since she was 2, and I decided to buy this game for her. Since she was upset over the gameplay in Blue's Birthday Adventure , she had more fun with this game and I have enjoyed playing it with her. I'd suggest this title to any Blue's Clues fan!!!! Review: Blue's Clue Treasure Hunt - I am tween writing this review under an adult's account. I frequently help my toddler brother play PC games such as this one. This one is difficult even for me! Toddler still enjoys it, however I seldom allow him to play it because when we do we both end up frustrated.

This is a very well done game, my son enjoys it very much and it is very eduactional. There was no problem loading it and using it on our pc, and he can maneuver through the game without my help.

Very high quality for a kid's game
This game takes the child through three separate 'blue's clues' hunts, plus three separate 'treasure map' hunts, all in the familiar setting of Steve's house and neighborhood. The puzzles are varied and interesting; each 'clue' leads to a mini-game which the child can return to again and again. There are plenty of small hidden things on each screen for the child to discover, and extensive live action video of Steve helping to lead the way. There is a high quality of art and music throughout the game (although the 'poetry' in some of the clues is dreadful.) Definitely recommended for children from the age they can use a mouse through 5 or 6. My only problem with the game is that it comes on 2 CD's, which need to be swapped out halfway through the game - my 2 year old is old enough to enjoy this game, but not old enough to be trusted with CD swapping. Also, I can't get the CD's to work with 'GameDrive8', which I use to mirror most of her games so that she doesn't need to swap CD's - the game always looks for the CD in drive 'D:'.
