I originally purchased this fabric because I wanted make reusable, cloth Christmas gift wrappings. I knew they would look a bit "farmhouse" and primitive but I was fine with that. It works well with my vintage decor. I ended up loving it for wrapping material. I did not wash it and it is very stiff with starch but that worked great for wrapping. Some I made into flat wrappings and others into gift bags. The red color is perfect...a true medium cherry red...not scarlet....not wine. The white threads are really cream as you can see compared to the white crocheted throw. It is weighty and feels very durable. Even if I find I need to wash these wrappings from time to time, I know they will last for **years**. I even lined a wool cross-body bag I made with this fabric and the tight, heavy weave helped give the bag some body/structure. The stripe is truly woven in, not printed. I've now purchased MORE of this fabric...I don't even know what I'll make with it but it is so attractive, durable, and reasonably priced, I couldn't pass on the opportunity to have more in my stash. As I said, I haven't washed it so I can't speak to its color-fastness or shrinkage but, I suspect those won't be real issues.

This is a nice heavy cotton "mattress ticking" fabric. I bought it to make a tablecloth with an open-ended zippered side for a picnic table with an umbrella. I've made a couple of other regular tablecloths (no hole in the middle) in different colors for camping and other outdoor events before because they are so durable, machine washable and dryable and are thick enough to "bridge" the holes in metal picnic tables or grooves in wooden tables for a smooth surface. It turned out great. Just wash fabric in warm or hot water before sewing as it does shrink a bit lengthwise.

Searched the reviews looking for a fellow black powder enthusiasts experience back when I first tried this out as patch material and didn’t see any. I have been using This for a lot time with great results. I have always strictly used linen material for my patches but I have just as consistent and accurate experience with this cotton ticking. I have found it only needs washed once and is ready to go, accepts lube very well ( I use bore butter…ox-yoke wonder lube 1000 plus). Is very consistently .018 give or take once washed. Hope this review helps others looking for bulk patch material.

I read all the reviews before ordering the blue strip ticking. My concern was that this ticking would be thin. While reading all the reviews I saw some comments about not receiving the yardage ordered and delivery was very slow.. I received my order today October 8th which I ordered on October 6, 2025, I’m located in CA. Central Coast. I payed for the five yard cut and I received five yards! The color is exactly what is shown and yes it is heavy and stiff, perfect for totes! I am very pleased and plan to order this again I hope they have the pink and cream in the Spring, please!

I bought this fabric as a holiday cover for my half wall between the living and dining room - a sort of giant table cloth. It works perfectly for that. It adds subtle holiday color, and it looks wonderful on the half wall. The fabric is rather stiff. It's very thick duckcloth. I would not want to wear it at all, but it works very well as a table top cover. I have not washed it, so I don't know if it would soften up after being washed and dried. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of how stiff it is, but it is totally working for what I bought it for.

I love the stripes. My favorite thing to do with this material is to make aprons and other kitcheny items. It is easy to work with and holds up well.

Roc-lon is a famous brand of good-quality fabric. This ticking fabric is no exception. It reminds me of the old mattresses that were made with it. It's thick cotton and has subtle natural flecks in it. I like that it comes in blue also. I will get a lot of use out of this fabric for my crafting, thinking mostly pillows. You get a generous amount for what you pay. I highly recommend it if you need ticking fabric. It's classic.

I bought this to make a table runner to match my barstool cushions. I washed the fabric before cutting and sewing. There was significant shrinkage so I’m glad I washed and dried it before using it. The fabric is perfect and just what I needed
