DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! Viewing core is not large enough to pop out cores. They cannot be pushed up or down no matter what you try. I have been using soil probes for over 30 years and I have never seen such a poor design. Rough cut viewing area that will basically cut your hand when you attempt to get the core out. Do not purchase this to do any soil sampling. It truly has no use whatsoever for soil testing. I wish I could give it a 0 star rating.

Bigger than a normal soil sample and too many sharp edges. We had to take a file and a grinder and remove sharp edges in the area where you get the dirt out of it to be able to use it properly. We had several elderly people that it cut very badly. This was bought for a company to use not just a single individual.

The product works as advertised however the screw for the pedal would not fit and had to use a different screw that has to be tightened continuously.

This is a very poor design. I can't get the soil out of narrow slot. It is also too large of diameter to push into the soil and is a cutting hazard trying to dig the dirt out.

Two heavy. Difficult to go through dirt. Comes without a manual. It’s almost impossible to insert the rubber handles on the sides that protects the hands when using the prob.

The probe feels solid and well made. The stainless steel is sturdy and doesn't bend easily, even in harder soil. The T handle makes it comfortable to grip and apply pressure without much effort. Its very practical for taking clean, accurate soil samples, perfect for gardening, lawn care, or small agricultural projects. Overall, it does exactly what it meant to do and feels durable.

This soil probe is such an awesome asset for growth in my green house. I am able to use my foot on this probe for easier use and the probe pulls the perfect amount each time. No complaints and great value for the money.
